"one good launch game" Dance Central looks ok, though the white guy dancing at E3 didn't help it too much. Difference between the PS3 at launch and Kinect, is that Kinect has no real hardcore games right now. R.U.S.E. not using Kinect because games can last several hours the player has to stand to use Kinect, is a blow to MS, when it'll be using Move instead. Also, the demo for the Star Wars game being staged didn't help it too much at all 5809d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment
I hope they do a beta for the PS3 version.
Yep, $59.99 USD ($67.10 AUD)in the US vs $105.45 USD ($118.00 AUD) in Australia. Almost 100% price increase.
Not the best at exchange rates or how much it costs to ship to AUS or such, but from the article it was saying "Gamestop has Halo: Reach (Standard Edition) listed for $59.99 USD ($67.10 AUD)" and "Gamestop owns EB Games, and EB Games has the standard edition of Halo: Reach listed as $105.45 USD ($118.00 AUD)".
@geekblz $60 in USD for this gen games is $67.10 AUD (exchange rates). So it would be from $67.10 to $118. And yah, that is a pretty dumb mark up...
Hell, DC Universe is coming out in Nov with LBP2 and GT5. The end of this year and beginning of next looks like it'll be fun.

R.U.S.E. is using Move, and they had a demo the other week by one of the Move developers showing a RTS demo for Move that looked interesting. But I don't see SC II coming to consoles any time soon.
The original Macross and Macross Frontier were good. I didn't like Macross 7 too much... Hoping the game comes to the US, seeing as it has the movie on the disk.
p.s. I always go for the subbed versions of the anime, most of the time the English translations are horrible, with a few exceptions (Trigun and Cowboy Bebop coming to mind)
Yep, they announced it a while ago. Hoping they have a collectors edition for the PS3 version though.
Before it would download everything, now it downloads only what is needed.
I play inverted as well for shooters. Though with Socom 4 being playable with Move, I don't think I'll be worrying about that at all.
Custom music has been around for 2 years as King_many_layers said (hell, Pain has a version of in-game music thats been around for around 3 years), multi log ins work in LBP and MotorStorm will get it. Borderlands allows for multiple log ins / save files. PixelJunk Shooters has in-game video recording, and many games have in-game screen shots. The PS3 can do things, its just that Sony lets the developers decide if they want to do it, which they should push some things.
The ability for developers to use custom soundtracks in their games IS built into the firmware. Its just whether or not the developers feel like implementing it. Play pixeljunk shooter, you can record videos and upload to youtube, but not all games do that. Pain lets you play music from your hard drive directly from the game, I don't think any other games do that (though some let you play the music from the xmb.
Some features are useful, others can take away from the...
Its the same as ingame music, the things to do it are in place from Sony's side, but the developers are the ones that have to enable it. And seeing as its not required, not many care to do it.
They tried for the 360, but because of Live it won't be happening at all.
"In wanting to keep their service closed and controlled, third parties aren't able to "freely design different business schemes"
"Microsoft only allowed Final Fantasy XI on Xbox Live because it was in its infancy. However, now it's more established, they don't need it and were categorically unwilling to deal with Square Enix over the use of Xbox Live....
In the old days, they gave kids toys that they could shoot their eyes out with. Now we tell them to stick their manhood in a forge. I see it as thinning the herd so to speak...
Can't wait to play this game. Hoping beta invites go out in the near future...
Move with 2 wands can be from $100 to $150. If you have the PS Eye, buy 2 wands for $50 each. The nun chuck is not necessary at all, you can use a DS3 and be cheap (don't cry over the price when it isn't needed to play a game with it as a DS3 can be used instead). If you don't have the PS Eye, then its $140/150 (for $10 more if you buy the bundle instead of the individual parts, you get a game). Hell, you can be even cheaper and find the PS Eye for $30, and then only have to p...
