@Army. That'd be PS Now, which you can also download games to your system to play instead of just streaming ($10 a month or $60 a year).
Maybe people didn't want to catch "ginger-vitis"...
" they waited and adopted Bluray technology later."
MS was pushing HD DVD and that format died off. They only adopted Blueray because it won. Not like they had a choice when they'd need 2+ discs for some of the games that were coming out. Look at RDR2 - 100 GB... Imagine "Please insert disc 4" while roaming around...
"VR will drive the console price up."
Not unless they force you to buy the headset with the console, like MS did with Kinect at the start of xbone... So far, Sony hasn't forced anyone to. It's an option, not mandatory. And an option that has sold 4 million so far.
Or maybe the ones that were forced to repeatedly change things knew how it would turn out, and decided to go the "truth in advertising" route...
Leveling up with friends was fun and the combat and graphics are great. Only downside as you said, the end game was shit for so long (still eh after updates) and the servers were / are horrendous at times. It had potential when it was announced and shown at E3, but they changed so much before release without telling people (going from the overworld to a dungeon with no loading screen, friends being able to drop in and out with ease during a dungeon, ...). Hopefully it gets an overhaul, bu...
"for example yesterday i found out that the bonus PSN PLus games that are given for free every month are Fing locked"
That's been known for years since the service started... The bonus discounts on games you buy never go away, unlike stadia games that are locked if you cancel service.
PSN store doesnt lock you out of games you get discounts on for having PS+ after it expires...
Or they could release a bunch of AAA games like the competition is doing...
"There’s very little combat in Death Stranding, with a few boss fights and the odd encounter with MULEs and B.T.s standing out as the only physical confrontations in the game."
If you stealth and bypass mobs, that is true. But you can literally farm the crystals by letting BTs capture you and fighting catchers left and right... Fought one by the crater lake, ran around for a minute looting the place. Timefall came back a short time after and fought the mini bos...
MS wanted their own servers, SE said no repeatedly. Looks like MS gave in.
@Fragnum. Sony made MAG for the PS3, which had a 256 player mode...
Its "mixed reception" is in the US, as other countries are rating it higher. Even IGN from outside the US rates it higher than the US one. The US loves its COD and shooters...
Complaining about walking? You never even unlocked the trikes or truck or speed frame? Playing a few minutes or doing just sidequestsonly, instead of unlocking things... I'm fighting mules for materials / quests, flying down the highway delivering supplies, traversing BT zones and destroying them, or unlocking new crafting recipes and cosmetics / music / holograms...
Lying doesn't create a lot of happy (potential) customers...
Souls left its mark with leaving messages. Nioh let you fight people who died to get their gear, with #2 letting you summon ai copies of players left behind to help you as well.
Death Stranding let's you build structures that others can use, return people's lost items, create paths through the world as more people use it (you see over time grass and rubble make way for dirt trails), ask others for help building or ask for items to be sent to locations to assist y...
You want a great knock off fan made Pokemon game. Go look for Pokemon Uranium. Similar style to the old games, with all different monsters and characters.
"Over 30 years, only 26 games have received top marks from Famitsu. These include Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Soulcalibur, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Skyrim.
But Death Stranding is Kojima's fourth entry on that list, after receiving top marks for Metal Gear Solid 4, Peace Walker and Phantom Pain."
3 other perfect games from Kojima. Gonna guess Famitsu, and Japan in general, just love his work and style.
They did say you'll have vertical exploration seeing as you have huge skyscraper buildings and underground tunnels.
