"We live in a much different time now."

Yah, in 2010 MS was reporting game sales and console sales. Oh how times have changed... Now having a reason to buy a next gen system is a bump in graphics (and the people that want that already bought the One X), as those same games will be available on the base xbone...

PS5 has backwards compatibility, already been said a while ago.

No need to buy it at launch beyond the die hard fans. Why spend more money to play games that you can already play on your current xbone or pc... No exclusives means reason to wait and see. Exclusives sell systems. If both systems are more powerful, backwards compatible, similar price, but only 1has exclusive games... Not a hard choice. Sony was cheering after MS announced the xbone price originally. They're probably doing the same now.

"the Switch will never come close to competing with its next-gen competitors in power"

And when it takes a ton of power to run the future games (base ps4/xbone are already more powerful than the switch, and next gen is suppose to be 4 to 5 times that), the chances of those getting ported to the switch decrease. That just leaves it with years old ports, shovelware, and its first party lineup. Throw in the system being named "more fragile" and not being ...

With bundling PSNow and PS+, it doesn't make much sense seeing as you don't need PS+ to play PSNow games (which you can play on the PC without any additional charge). "You do not need a PS Plus membership for online multiplayer on PS Now,” senior marketing manager Brian Dunn wrote on the PlayStation Blog (2018), “which stays the same for both streaming and downloaded games." With price bundling, Ultimate for a year is $180. PSNow + PS+ for a year is $120.

Rumors are facts? Also, when you do a $1 sale, a ton of people will buy it. Question is, how many will renew at the higher rate of $10 a month or $120 a year (PSNow is $60 for a year).

Gamepass is also on PC... Why buy a Xbox SeX if you can play all the stuff on your PC with Gamepass with better graphics and fps? Meanwhile Sony is releasing games that you can only get on their consoles, which is an incentive to buy their systems.

Crackdown was half assed to begin with before you bring in Game Pass. They banked on 'da cloud' and they didn't do much to save it.

@S2 It got rave reviews from gamers, but big name sites gave it low ratings for things that other games get passes on. White male lead? Negative points for that... Lots of missions and a good length to it? Negative points because it's bloated and should have been a shorter game... Post apocalyptic world? Should have been more engaging... When they try to have an engaging mission to give backstory or meaning to characters, it's boring... IGN gave it a 6.5, Gamespot a 5, Destruct...

At least with the regular switch, you can switch them out for new joy cons. Switch lite... You're screwed if it happens.

Outer Worlds is multiplat... and "Xbox One beated the WiiU" -> *beat. That said, its losing to the Switch. MS won't even release sales figures anymore and will only announce % changes in user base figures (that includes free / non-gold users). Next year is dead till xbox SeX, while Sony has multiple big name titles.

ND has their 3rd out in a couple of months... Alao, going from the cell in the ps3 to the ps4 is a bit different programming wise, so they had to build things from.thr ground up for their new games.

And don't forget next year you have Cyber Punk, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us 2, FFVII, Nioh 2 (you can play it solo) and such for single player games.

@rlow1. You have to buy studios when you close some of the ones you own down (lionhead for example). Also when they kill off games before they release like Scalebound which was heavily promoted, you need backups beyond Forza and Halo. Sony has a bunch of exclusives for its final year (and has for every year) before next gen, while MS is doing what?

They wouldn't have to build from ashes if they didn't put themselves in that position to begin with.

This site also gave out awards, like this classic one: "The Biggest Disappointment for 2019
WINNER – MARVEL Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order – Switch"

They're a click bait site...

They're easy to escape and its even easier to just let them grab you for a bunch of free chiral.

Quieter? Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and FFVII for big name exclusives alone (Iron Man VR as well if you have the headset). It is going out with a bang for its last year, instead of letting its fans only have multiplats like Cyber Punk till next gen.

It'll give it a run for its money. Have you see the spider-man loading videos where PS4 pro takes 8 seconds to load from teleporting from one place to another and PS5 take 0.8 seconds?
