Yeah, for me I enjoyed Demon souls. I loved the dark feel to it. But yes part of it might have been the originality to it so playing that first might be one reason why I liked it more than dark souls.
Also like the idea of the paths that opened up depending on if you were light or dark....although me being simple never quite managed to become either to try these paths.
Hell, I played the entire game before I relaised that I could run, so shows what I know.
I stopped gaming for a good number of years from age 27 to 32. Still had an interest, but I had relocated from New Zealand to the UK. Building up my social life plus the fact that I didn't want to get stuck down with to much stuff if I decided to go back.
Slowly started to get back into it with my laptop, starting Baldurs Gate again. Then built a new PC, got the PS3 when it came out. It helped that there was a flatmate who was into gaming as well.

Once a year would be fine if they were adding something....but if it's just the same game with a new lick of paint then no thank you.
2 Million is a lot of consoles.... just think about it.
Most people can't picture a million objects in their head. They just can't build them fast enough.
And it's not like this is a mould of something....this is electronics...so producing a million of those takes time.
I love the way they spend all this money gathering information about their customers (this is anyone including google, MS etc) and their viewing habits, and then they just ignore their findings and chuck any old s*** at you anyway.
Also, when I go round looking for something to buy... once the ads start popping up for it, usally I've already got it, so don't need the advertising by that stage!

No, that would be terrible.
One of the best things about this game was the story and the writing.
The problem with games like the one you describe is you have to write for the event o each path you take and often details are going to get mixed up.
I really fell this would not have added anything to the game and just destroy the story.
The graphics for last of us would have been better, but the sales would not have been as good due to the smaller install base.
For pushing out a new IP I think ND made the right decision.
The games will come in time, we know they will.
I'm happy to stick with my PS3 for now, but I will get a PS4 in future.

Besides, aren't these systems meant to be closed off (only software from PSN & Live).
So the only risk will be the updates from Sony, MS and the Devs. if something gets in, then it's up to them to fix it.
I'm sure after the lessons Sony learnt from the last hack, they or any of them would not want that to happen again.

If NihonjinChick is going to make a game, she will do it with the images that are appealing for her. Why wouldn't she. Game makers have to make games that they like to play, otherwise they tend to not work.

Sure there can be a range of products from, hack'n'slash, Cartoon to Manga to high art.
you can have maturity as well as children’s games or even just adolescent style games. it's not all or nothing.
