Games like RO2 and Arma 3 show that the PC and bigger/better hardware can create game worlds and situations simply impossible on the consoles.
Yeah, in the late 90's. Thinhs are different now, beyond minor differences like Physx and different forms of AA you'll find no difference between AMD or Nvidia cards. Unless someone dropped the ball driver wise, which is always unfortunate.
PC gaming really isn't as hard as it used to be, building and maintaining PC's is almost as easy as a console.
As a Console and PC gamer, no..just you're wrong.
Uncharted has things in common with Tomb Raider, absolutely. But it doesn't just flat out copy everything about Tomb Raider, right down to the font.
Don't defend this, it looks like shit and the fact that it's apparently being released on the PSN and XBLA, should tell you it deserves to be critiqued the same as other downloadable titles on that service.
Derrr, the trailer is crap and derivative of Uncharted's, the character models are incredibly derivative of Uncharted's, the gun models are awful, the animation is awful, AND it's a copy paste job of Uncharted.
This is blatant, don't give them a pass because they are from where you live. I didn't buy Full Auto, even though it was developed right here in Toronto. At that time the Xbox 360 was starving for games too.
Also games with a small ...
I lol'd and agree.
Yeah, BLATANT copies are something to support. /s
Sure Uncharted may borrow some from Tomb Raider, and a little from Indiana Jones etc etc. I just don't see how anyone can defend something that has blatantly stolen so much. As someone pointed out that trailer was also incredibly similar to uncharted's, and even something small like the font they couldn't even diverge a little.
I'm all for games coming from all parts of the globe, but not like ...
Wow, dude nothing about this even looks good. It's pretty hideous in all area's, why support that kinda crap? Because they are independent? lol, that's funny I buy games because they are fun and nothing about that game looks fun.
Oh, if that was my game I wouldn't release screens of it that look that bad. I can critique anything, I would expect my work to be treated the same. Especially with the doodoo texture work on display.
The wood looks like molded dookie, lolz.
Find me a studio from that neck of the woods that doesn't shamelessly rip western games off.
Increased latency in games is awesome!
I always wanted to meet someone with one of those stupid onlive consoles, so I can ask "Why!?" while bludgeoning them with the controller.
Can I fire myself from an APC and land on a Titan carrier though? Thats the question that needs to be asked.
My head....my head..your words hurt my head.
None of your games run in 1080P, none of them.
Yes...3D makes everything better, keep drinking that koolaid.
Many publications gave the their graphic awards to Crysis in 07. You're speaking as if there is a video game equivalent to the oscars or something.
Btw, what are you getting at? The resolution is the sharpness of the image, which can be improved further with AA. Any game including Okami can benefit from a higher resolution. It was a beautiful game, but I would have given anything to experience it on my PC. It would have looked sharp.
@stu888
Built a friend a computer for 2 grand in 2007, it still runs every console port at 1920*1080 with AA and a higher framerate. Crysis was also over 30fps on very high at 1680*1050, that was back in 07 when it came out.
By todays standards for a "high end" pc, his gets stomped spec wise. Hell it gets stomped by parts that are a fraction of what we paid for his. I can almost guarantee I will be able to build a PC in October for less then a grand...
Thank you I needed a good joke to to start my morning.
Funny story, your laptop will likely have little problem with running BF3 at a high framerate, and at a higher overall detail level then the consoles. Sure it's a high end laptop, but it's still a LAPTOP.
Derrr I don't understand hardware.
I also experience no problem with BC2 on the PC, doesn't matter which video card.
