It's the MP for Battlefield, the SP is really just a nice addition. 1942,Vietnam,BF2 and 2142 had no SP and I was perfectly fine with that. Who knows how many PC players will even realize it's there.
DOW Series? Metro 2033? Red Faction: Guerrilla and Armageddon? Saints Row?
THQ has been bringing some varied and decent games for awhile now, and with the exception of Homefronts SP. I've been pretty rarely disappointed.
OT: Turtle Rock seemed so ambitious with L4D, I thought it was a little strange that the director was so gimped and the game was so light on content. Here's hoping that THQ gives them the time they need.
That and it's really not hard to organize...Ventrilo/Teamspeak is hard.
Derrr I don't read to good, so I just make assumptions.
Wonder what part was dope...I must have missed it.
Metro was a pretty bad experience on the console in comparison, but I think the main thing here is both of those are SP only titles.
The CoDites do not buy SP.
I anticipated the first one...does that count? Truth be told, it would take quite a bit of convincing to make me want to get Hellgate or anything associated with Hellgate.
You mean it's the one that launched with CoD2 and has only gotten iterative updates every year.
They've...they've been doing it longer then WaW.
Pre paid credit cards work, they have them in Canada I'm sure they have them in the states or elsewhere.
I started using Steam when CS 1.6 was released (It's first release) and later when the Counter Strike Source beta came out before HL2's release. When 1.6 launched it was a mess, but I think that had more to do with the amount of people trying to download CS 1.6
The Source beta launch went much smoother. I also ran into no trouble getting my Half Life 2 installed and registered to my account. I never understood all the bitching simply because I was there and experience...
He's being crass, but it doesn't change the fact that he's right. Steam as a service beats both console online services, both in features and Store content.
Can't argue with fact.
I love bee's?
If the MW2 Map packs features new Specs Ops missions I would have purchased them. They didn't so I passed, I'm sure others felt the same way about it.
Zombies is great, but being straight up better then Spec Ops is a stretch. Running around in circles and killing the same undead is only fun for so long, and if you got your fill with WaW then BLOPS offered nothing new or interesting.
@jack
Those are still different games from a straight up shooter. I don't think a Space Marine is going to be stopping and having a 10-15 minute conversation with Orks. MGS is not a shooter, I'm sorry it's not and both Saints Row 2 and GTA while having shooting are far from the main thing and a good chunk of time is spent launching cars off ramps or doing side missions.
None of the trappings that pad gametime: Travel(RDR,GTA,SR), Long ass cinematics (MGS4)...
Metacritic ruins every "best game" debate. It's also pretty bad when things like Modern Warfare 2 are sitting on a list, sharing a spot with Half Life and Quake when things like Deus Ex, System Shock 2 and Goldeneye/Perfect Dark are lost in the shuffle.
A weird choice, but a PS3/360 pad is easy enough to install I guess.
E+ is only a general rating, it basically means someones not going to be dropping expletives at you every 2 seconds and you wont be bathing in gore.
It's not Valves problem if someone gets offended, the fact that you think this is somehow Valve's fault offends me. But I'm willing to bet real money you don't care that it offends me, and will continue on with your "Don't say that SOMEONE might get offended" life. Comedy and Humor is totally possibl...
@Jake
2 Seperate friends, in two very seperate financial situations. Both were told as young as possible that they were adopted, but were loved the same as if they were the parents own. Both are doing extremely well for themselves and beyond mild personality quirks, are both perfectly normal and balanced.
Sure this doesn't account for everyone, some kids might find that traumatic. But really, any adopted child is far less likely to be maltreated as well a...
@Stan
Lol at multiple accounts, maybe if you didn't post the same crap repeatedly you wouldn't have 1 bubble.
Name me that CoD game with the fighter jets, destructible environments and 64 players. The MP alone makes the game better then CoD, this isn't really something that's debatable. You can't deny that the MP in BF is still and always was greater then CoD's.
We know nothing of the size or scope of the environments ...
