Yes Nathan Drake the sociopathic psychotic, His blonde on again off again girlfriend who clearly doesn't want to be there and everyone loves Sully...what does he do again? Help you open a door, says some stuff? Great, it's funny that he's old.

The Uncharted Series is great, but don't act like those characters aren't cookie cutter either. Everyone loses when we decide to be selective with our criticisms, especially when it's based on nothing but a brand...

It's our currency, I don't see how you could possibly think sales volume correlates in a worldwide media market. It's all set against the American dollar, it's actually kinda simple so your ignorance is just kinda sad.

The PS4 Launched here at $399, it's now $429.99 (Granted with a digital pack in but that's a value add incentive, not tacked onto the cost) at the time of the price INCREASE it went up to $449.99. It also coincided with the increase in t...

PS4

Added an option to disable the PlayStation 4 controller speaker

Good stuff Ubi.

Carmack nailed the pricepoint of Oculus way back in...2011? 2012? When he was showing his prototype duct taped headset running with Doom 3 at E3. The Vive and the Rift are considerably more capable devices with a larger viewing area than PSVR (They all suffer from a view port and PSVR's is the most egregious) and include more in the box.

I'm Canadian, I already have a decent PC. PSVR is 549.99 here, plus the camera at 69.99 CAD. It's still more accessible than Viv...

The consoles move to X86 is what will benefit them there, and a consistency of architecture. I'm fairly certain, a new XB1 or PS4 would simply use a newer more powerful AMD APU. They aren't going to flip flop between PowerPC and X86 or something.

Considering neither Oculus and Vive are competing in a head to head sense. They don't care if PSVR sells like gang busters, it's about bringing VR and selling it to regular people. Making VR a real thing and not a novelty that gets forgotten is what all three of these headsets are trying to do. There is no war, except for maybe the one invented in peoples heads.

Not without a lot of corners cut.

It sounds more like people are attaching the idea of a more powerful version of the console exclusively to resolution. When there are loads of other things that could benefit, textures, particle effects, lighting, player counts, NPC counts. If they do it like phones, where previous owners aren't locked out of everything and are able to play with people on newer hardware? What's the issue?

No... it's not. It's an X86 based PC, there isn't some magic sauce to development with these machines. Do games coming out today on the PS4 and XB1 look vastly better than Killzone SF? Ryse? They don't, and they won't.

This generation is nothing like the PS3 and 360 days where things improved rapidly and quickly with each passing year. Neither machine is incredibly complicated, unlike the 360 (Multi core) and PS3 (Cell,RSX and Split memory pool). Some thin...

Then buy the digital version, no one has your feet to the fire and no one said that digital and physical will always have cost parity.

That whale was DOPE! It's to bad the rest of the game and the sequel were the hottest garbage pressed to a Dreamcast disc...BUT THAT WHALE MAN!

Sonic running fast from one point of the level to another is a novelty that wears thin very quickly, it's a novelty that falls apart the moment he stops running fast and...god Sonic is so broken in a modern context. If the levels are designed in a way that it's difficult to lose momentum, than what are you playing? There i...

Printing and shipping disks is obviously free, this clearly isn't a limited and small run. /s

Also big laughs at the guy who used an Emulator on his phone and then discusses value. You're a gem.

It's the dog piley nature of it; "Hey this games formatted in a way I don't like HUURRRR DURRRRR DURRRRR IT'S BAAAD". It's so far from perfect it's dizzying, but to say there is nothing positive inside of The Division is also delusional.

Ewww, you're Canadian? Read a book, you can't type for shit.

If you don't have Live or PS+ as just a standard part of owning a console, you're doing it wrong. You also can't just roll that into the cost of something and say that's what the game costs, I pay for PS+ and XBL for more than just one game. What's next? Going to roll in the cost of your broadband too? What's your modem rental cost per month? Mines 8 bucks with Bell, does that get ro...

Incrementally more powerful hardware isn't going to break that model, it's also as they say the money from the hardware later in the generation? Peanuts compared to royalties.

Do you even understand what you're talking about?

It's an open contiguous software platform, a newer PS4 will run Killzone Shadowfall EXACTLY the same as a launch PS4. Put the disk in and go. Software built with the newer hardware will see things like higher framerates and resolutions, improved textures, lighting etc. It will still run on a launch PS4 but be improved on newer hardware, it's the exact same as your phone. Games made for iOS for instance WILL run on ...

The New 3DS isn't necessarily a 1-1 copy of this scenario. It doesn't have the open software platform Spencer wants for XB1/PC.

Games on higher end machines could have access to modes with higher player counts, improved textures, lighting, particle effects. Things that won't necessarily gut players on the older version of hardware.

Steam Machines success or failure has more to do with the specific market. Nothing to do with the console market or t...

It's a perspective thing too, those games we grew up with were also made by two dudes in a basement. Not the 100's it takes to make games today.
