Battlefield 3 will not sell 10 million, the COD guess was probably right on, but Battlefield 3 will probably sell in the 5 million range.

Has anyone bothered to call Sony? They are telling people it could take up to two full months before PSN is back up.

Anyone who knows networking understands it isn't simple to start from the ground up, then even after they get something up and running they have to beta test it to make sure people cant hack into it. You are looking at a prolonged outage.

People just need to deal.

Well actually he could be playing a host of games, like Portal 2, with online. Mortal Kombat with Online ect....

Nothing for me personally. Some people only buy games with an online component however. So it would potentially be something someone might not like about the game.

That is a good deal, perhaps some people were looking to trade in their PS3's anyway? No extra cash out of pocket is nice.

Their is a local Game Store doing the same thing here as well, people are seemingly quite responsive to the idea.

That was epic!
Someone sent me this picture of a comic with Kevin Butler in it yesterday. Just as epic!

@Masterchef2007

Sorry, I don't take anything off Lensoftruth as being legit. Every legit source says the games are exactly the same. Only difference I can see right now is XBL users can actually play their copy online.

It's because the PS3 version was not better, it had Steam Works, but a large majority of console gamers don't care about that to be honest.

Multiplatform games are always almost better on the 360 and people for the most part played the first game on the 360.

I am sure it sold better in the states as well. The majority of people who played Portal 1 on consoles played it on the 360 as the Orange Box was a huge hit, no surprise it's doing well on the 360.

If you call Sony, they say it might take up to two months to get things back up and running, so prepare for a long drought.

Building a network from the ground up is no easy task and takes time.

In a recent interview that I saw, 343 said they split their crew in half, with each side working on something they were not allowed to talk about.

Well it was easy for Microsoft to give out a game to people, less then 25% of XBL users had an issue. All of PSN is down, so what do they do? offer everyone a free game? Most people have a ton of PSN names, like me. I have around 10 of them, would make it very difficult to do for Sony.

ya, they should totally stop milking Halo. Any franchise that has 3 to 4 titles in it should just call it quits huh? Socom, God Of War, Resistance, Killzone ect.... I agree.

Hopefully the multiplayer sticks to the formula that makes it so popular.

I suspect half of 343 is working on Halo 4 and the other half working on Halo CE Remake.

Glad to see Halo is in such good hands.

I have only ever paid $199 for my 360. Some games I play online, some off. I choose to pay for an upgraded service, much in the way I get free television, but I choose to pay for satellite.

PSN being down doesn't directly effect me, since I can count on one hand how many times I use it, but then again a few years ago I wasn't effected by the XBL issues and I still got compensation for that. If it's true that Sony is totally rebuilding their online servers and ever...

I think the Sony fans are doing the dance of the Brave Little Toaster.

It's more then obvious they are upset and rightly so, especially with the lack of responses from Sony. I think the PS3 crowd is just afraid to show emotion because it might make them look weak to 360 fans or like they have no life outside of video games.

I don't even use PSN often and I'm upset over it, so I can imagine some of those hardcore people are outright pissed, not to ...

You need to rent servers in some games, it is not a new idea, I used to pay $50 a month to rent Star Wars Battlefront 2 servers back on the PS2.

It's not like it's something out of the ordinary.

The biggest difference is not everyone was without XBL during that time. I for one still was able to play games online. PSN was attacked and had to be shut down and when you call them, they are saying it "Could take 2 weeks" or longer.

They pretty much are rebuilding PSN. So hunker down PS3 users.

These articles are just flame bait that shouldn't even be approved.

This has to be a joke. Anyway, the way I remember it back then it was only certain people who had Live issues, mine never went down and I was still compensated with free Live and a arcade game. It wasn't "completely shut down" as this article suggests.
