COD is fine. Every year we hear the same thing. Then every year it outsells the previous game. Normal gamers who aren't into competitive gaming will never understand how big a game like COD is on Gamebattles. On Xbox 360 alone there were 45 thousand competitive teams for Black Ops when it came out.

You kids can hate on it all you want, but what do you think EA is going to do if Battlefield 3 is successful? Make a new engine every year? Or release a game to combat COD every year?
I'll stick to the game that keeps a million players on the servers year round and has 40 thousand Gamebattles teams to play against.

Glad to see multiple disks and lack of exclusive content didn't hurt XBox 360 sales of this brilliant game.
For a fast paced FPS it needs to be 60 FPS. When I used to go from playing COD4 on the Xbox 360 to playing it on the PS3 and with the difference in frame rate drop it would give me headaches.
On top of that shooters feel slow and unresponsive at only 30 FPS. With amazing games like Rage and every COD game running at 60 FPS, it seems like a BS cop out to me. I am not concerned with it being up to par with PC games, but 60 FPS is something that is very much doable these days.
I find it funny that people are so quick to overlook the horrid 30 FPS that BF3 is going to offer, yet if MW3 had a locked 30 FPS it would be viewed as utter trash.
I'm not saying MW3 is perfect or that COD is perfect, but you people know damn well if the roles were reversed you'd be all over it.
This isn't actually a bad deal. I think they probably overestimated the amount of people interested in the set. I saw it a little cheaper a couple of weeks ago at Gamestop, that's where I picked it up. Goes nicely with my Halo 3 and Halo Reach Collectors editions and my Gears collectors editions.
Kind of reminds me how bad the PS2 graphics were compared to the original Xbox and Gamecube. Good thing solid games and fun and affordability are more important then graphics.

God Of War 3 is a PS3 title, I never played the God Of War games on PS2. Overall though the PS2 lacked the graphiccal capabilities of the Xbox and Gamecube. That's not to say everything on the PS2 looked terrible, just like the Wii. Games like Metroid and Zelda and Mario Galaxy look...
If they aren't competing with COD MW3, then why have they been doing nothing but trash talking? I think they are experiencing a lot of negative blowback from all the BS they have been spouting and now they are trying to act like nothing was ever said.....
My launch 360 still worked up until I bought a new 360s last year. Then I sold off my launch 360 on Ebay for $150. I think the RROD thing is exaggerated. I know a ton of people with Xbox 360's that work just fine.
Half of 343i is ex Bungie. Including Frank! The game is going to be like every Halo but with some minor upgrades. Just like it should be.
Not sure why people don't do a little research. A good chunk of Bungie decided to stay with Microsoft to work on Halo games. The "Bungie" team that signed a deal with Activision and that worked on Reach was 75% different then the team that worked on Halo CE and Halo 2.
All they are saying is you get a little something extra by importing your file all the way from the first game. Honestly it's one of the things I've loved about this franchise since it's start.
I do plan on going back and playing ME1 and ME2 on the 360 to get perfect save files to import.

Well Gears 1 sold over 6 million copies on P.C. and Xbox 360. Gears 2 sold over 6 million strictly on the Xbox 360. I believe they are both closer to 7 million apiece now due to the Gears Triple pack that released earlier this year.
Now with all the new Xbox 360's out there and the fact that this game gets it's own limited edition Xbox 360 bundle and with all the hype and press and with that amazing beta...I can see it easily getting between 6-9 million in sales.

I don't think it looked bad, but I don't think it was the ultimate end all to FPS games or anything. It actually reminded me of a cross between Medal Of Honor from last year and BFBC2. Which I guess is fine for some people.
It's just becoming more and more evident that this isn't going to be a game for me personally.
I am a fan of Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 and still play those games over XBL. That being said, the Source engine is pretty bad by today's standards and I've never been able to get into Half Life or see why it's looked at with such amazement.
Honestly if not for the Left 4 Dead series I would consider Valve to be one of the most overrated developers around today.
I don't know if you played the Gears 3 beta, but those graphics are so far ahead of the first two games it's not even funny.
It's a really solid graphical leap.
I think Valve is the only ones who like it....lol
