This is hardly the first game to do something like this. DC Universe Online cant be resold either. Also a ton of companies do the online pass thing. Developers are greedy animals lately.......
Already bought it. The way I figure it is, I pay $12 to go see a movie and I only get a couple of hours of enjoyment out of that. I pay $15 for a map pack but literally get days and days of enjoyment out of those.
So in the end it's well worth it for me. I love the new maps, makes it feel like a totally new game.
Lack of decent avatars can be frustrating. I have a few of those on my friends list. Same with Assassins Creed. Everyone uses the same few avatars on PSN.
They should be hesitant, It's a proven fad. No need wasting money, time and advertising on something that is quickly dying out already.

You do realize that BC in the PS3 is just emulation? They could do a global update and all the PS3's could be BC.
Sony stopped doing BC because for the first couple of years the PS3 lacked quality games and more people were buying PS2 games and then just playing them on their PS3's.

Hell no, Sonic Generations was amazing. For the first time since the Dreamcast I'll be getting a Sonic game on release date.
War For Cybertron was fantastic, but this one based off the movies looks kinda bad.

I loved this game on the original Xbox. I sold it when I picked up a Xbox 360 at launch though...because it wasn't a backwards compatible title.
Now I regret that decision because the game itself on Xbox is worth like $100.
I current;y own COD2, 3, 4, MW2, WaW and Black Ops. Considering the amount of time I spend on those games, it's worth $60 a year for sure. So as long as they are putting out the best FPS experience and the game with the largest competitive and online community, count me in.
This is one of the biggies for me. Glad it made a retail release. Gunstringer, Child Of Eden, Fruit Ninja and Rise Of Nightmares are all looking fantastic.
Definitely the largest, I will say a good majority are good people. Anytime you have people playing something numbering in the millions, of course your going to have trouble makers. I still would rather play COD online then any other game.
Cant find another experience as satisfying to match it.

Obiovusly you never played both versions of WAW and COD4. You could literally go hours on the PS3 version without getting a full match in. "Connection ended due to poor host" is what what pop up. That would never happen to me on the 360 version.
Why? because Microsoft's servers helped pick the best possible host. Not that it was always lag free or perfect by any means, but at least you could finish a game.
Why do you think P.C. and PS3 versions...

Anyway COD is still the best online game. No matter how much people around here will try to hate on it.
COD has the most GameBattles teams, the most online and the longest lasting online community as well. I for one am glad they don't go messing with the formula that makes the game work so well.
