Isn't this the guy who promised the PS3 would have 4-D graphics? ya.....
Microsoft uses their own servers for certain online components of games like Black Ops. So while it's technically Peer to peer, there is still Microsoft servers supporting the network.
Which is why you wont see a terrible host as often on the 360
@jdfoster00
That is my point, the competition is and always has been tougher on the 360. Right now I run a 1.79 K/D/R on Xbox 360 and yet I run a 3.22 K/D/R on the PS3.
As far as GB clans go, there are still currently almost 13 thousand Black Ops Xbox 360 teams yet a mere 563 teams on the PS3 side of things. Definitely goes to show you what console competitive gamers are using.
Gamebattles is the biggest site as far as gaming goes, with millions of p...
It would be epic till the 360 players slapped all the PS3 players.
I play COD on both the 360 and PS3, though 10x more on the 360 and my K/D/R is always at least 2.0 higher on PS3 versions. Competition on PS3 as far as COD goes is pretty bad.
They were clearly trying to dupe people and trying to build hype for their game yes? They decided to show some footage on a maxed out PC and get peoples attention.
It's less then six months to it's release and we've seen a few minutes of PS3 footage, NO 360 footage and were supposed to believe everything is going to be fine?
There new high tech, "AMAZING" Frostbite 2.0 engine cant even run 60 FPS. It's kind of lame to say the least...
I think it's safe to say Dice has lost a lot of support from the hard core console supporters. Personally I was never interested in BF3, but the 30 FPS and some of the lies EA spouted while trying to prove that BF3 was the superior FPS have turned me totally against the game.
It's impressive to say the least. It was a very smart move to not announce a Xbox 360 successor this year. It would have been counter productive.
I think more or less what's starting to happen is people who own other consoles such as the Wii or PS3 are also starting to buy the 360.
That works all the way around though as I've noticed more of my friends in real life buy a Wii or PS3 recently when they already have a 360.
Like I a...
Well it was always obvious to me that it was going to be an optional thing. Anyone else actually think otherwise?
Well I have around 10 days on Black Ops, I usually end up with around 20 days by the time the next one comes out. Though WAW I only had around 5 days, COD4 I had 33 days ect...
Just depends on how good that particular COD game is.
The large fanbase and community is one of the things I like best about COD. What other game is going to have a million people online playing it eight months after release? or even almost two years after release like MW2 does?
I agree 100%. The Gears 3 beta ruined Gears 2 for me because I got so used to using the lancers and actually having fun online in a Gears game.
Who really cares about something that is optional? Not like you cant still play it with the ol trusty controller.
Why bring up Microsoft? Umadbro?
In reality they are totally different things, Microsoft never dangled free XBL in front of us. Sony said backwards compatibility would be a function of the PS3. They decided in a move to make money to take it out of the consoles, even though technically the PS3 can emulate PS2 games with ease.
So it's a money making decision and that's all there is to it.
Activision doesn't own nearly as many franchises as EA. I have never played a soccer game because I'm American and think Soccer is stupid.
I have played their Madden series and it's gone from bad to worse. Now there is a game that has been milked and has zero improvement.
If you think it's the same COD game every year then I think you need your eyes checked bro.
I went back and tried to play COD4 and WAW yesterday and both we...
Of course it doesn't have backwards compatibility. Sony isn't stupid, if people are forking over cash for games from last generation then it helps their bottom line out.
It's just smart business.
Not sure why people get defensive over something that is totally OPTIONAL. SMDH. People cant seem to look past headlines these days.
I wonder what it could be honestly? Maybe voice commands or something?
I own a Kinect and I don't mind the "optional" Kinect integration.
There not. To me companies like EA are much more evil. They force quality companies like Bioware to rush their games and milk their sports franchises and every other franchise. Activision really only have one or two viable franchises, where as EA has a ton and most are utter crap now because of how EA runs things.
As I said, for me personally I am a competitive gamer. 30 FPS is unacceptable at this late time. Especially for a FPS.
I'm also not a PS3 user, though I own one I mostly play my Xbox 360.
I'm not spending $600 on a PC you crazy or something?
I think EA made a mistake showing off all the footage for the first few months on a super high end PC that nobody really has or can afford.
If they truly wanted to get a piece of the COD pie they needed console footage from the beginning. I admit it looked like Battlefield 3 might do well, but now it seems we have a lot of people upset that the game doesn't look THAT great on consoles and it's only 30 FPS.
As a competitive gamer and a person who knows...
Kinect isn't aimed at kids, that's just something idiots try to claim in order for themselves to feel better at how well it's selling.
I am definitely not a kid and own a Kinect. I enjoy it very much and have been waiting for titles like this and Project Draco, Steel Battalion, Gunstringer ect... Child Of Eden was fantastic on Kinect.
Tired of ignorant people hating on something they've never even tried.
I honestly thought a...
