I personally have 7 out of the top 10 pre ordered.
Only ones not pre ordered are Battlefield 3 and Ghost Recon. 9 of the top 10 are multiplatform titles, I knew this year had a ton of amazing games, but to see only one exclusive in the top ten is impressive. So many amazing games.
Sony is a business, don't be fooled, it's all about making money. Same with Nintendo and Microsoft. Your crazy if you don't think Sony would have liked to have better numbers.
There not in the charity business, Maybe one day UNICEF will get into the gaming business... ...but until then, ...
There is a difference between having a game not be on rails on Kinect and some of the other things he's said in the past. The technology was just not there with the original Xbox and even in some ways with the Xbox 360.
You cant blame the guy for dreaming or thinking big. I love the Fable series and will at least give the Kinect game a chance. I was hoping for some more titles to utilize Kinect, having titles I am familiar with already like Forza and Fable make it all the...
The sales race really only mattered early on IMHO. Six years later and like 50+ million consoles sold, you cant really say either one failed. You gotta be impressed with MS though, I mean the original Xbox sold less then half that of what the 360 has done.
The PSEYE cant track like Kinect. Obviously you've never seen one. They track totally and are on motors to move.
Quite being so ignorant. I will play Forza with a controller, but Kinect will be fun to tinker around with from time to time.
I enjoyed Homefront on the Xbox 360. I wish the campaign was longer, but I'm not going to complain. Not like they pulled a MAG, Warhawk or Socom Confrontation and gave us ZERO campaign at all.
I could see a sequel picking up steam. I actually like a lot of what Homefront did online, the prone ability for one thing and dedicated servers for another. Good weapon selection as well. I could see a sequel selling in the 4-6 million range and being a nice option to Call Of Duty....
It will sell more then 20 million. People saying that Battlefield 3 will challenge it are wrong. The main reason is Battlefield 3 is looking like a P.C. title, where as Modern Warfare 3 is a console title.
Like it or not, it's 5 months from launch and we've seen nothing on a console for BF3. Don't get me wrong, EA had a solid strategy by showing off BF3 on a P.C. that nobody can afford, but I think people think like I do. It looks good on P.C. but COD is COD.
If you liked Dreamcast types of games, this is the game for you. You'll swear it was made for the good ol' Sega Dreamcast. Lots of fun to be had in this exclusive.
I don't think it's shifting, I think they are finding that Kinect can be used for more then just the standard gaming purposes.
It'd be foolish not to take advantage of the tech as a whole, I think some of the people who have modded a Kinect have actually helped Microsoft with a more clear direction to take the console.
P.C. gaming is dead.
I tore through the beta and unlocked everything I could in around a day. I logged 55 hours on the Gears 3 beta according to Raptr. Awesome beta, got me so pumped for Gears 3. Only bad part is I cant go back and play Gears 2 anymore because Gears 3 was so much better.
That's "Nice" talk for NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. I already knew this and it was confirmed when Gears 3 pre sold over a million copies. No way Microsoft lets that go. They have the money to keep it an exclusive. Plus they are the ones advertising and publishing it.
I think if worse came to worse, why not buy out Epic? I know Cliffy would probably prefer that anyway. That way you look up Unreal Tournament, Gears and BulletStorm franchises.
Correct me if I am wrong here but if less and less people cared about Call Of Duty how come each new one outsells the previous?
We have been hearing how COD is fading for years and years now and each one outsells the last, which is no easy task. And for all the "great" exclusives on consoles, COD Black Ops is the best selling PS3 game EVER. I think that proves the opposite of this article.
So for all the BS talk about Battlefield being a game for teamwork they are limiting the squad size even more, which means you probably can only communicate with 3 people in game. Nice! /s
I already predicted that Halo 4 launches with the new Xbox. Why start a trilogy on old hardware? There is also a probability that Gears Of War Exile might be a launch title as well.
Now I do believe there will be a version of Halo 4 on the current Xbox 360 as well. I just think Microsoft wants to beat Sony to the punch again.
I was surprised to say the least. I thought the game looked fantastic. Tomb Raider is a game long since off my radar but I am definitely interested in this one. The sound track and moaning was kind of funny, but I thought it looked fantastic and the story captivated me from the start.
No thanks. Even as a monitor I use a 26 inch LED that I only paid $250 for. I am not interested in 3-D or Resistance 3. My living room television which I just bought last year is a 55 inch LED. I'm set for the foreseeable future as tv's are concerned.
Cant wait for MW3. Something is wrong when you have a release around 5 months away and you haven't shown any console footage.
Granted it was genius to show the super high end P.C. running BF3 to get everyone excited, but honestly how many of us have that type of P.C.? I am more interested in console gaming.
It does actually look fun. I wonder how much it'll cost? I like the idea of Kinect arcade titles though.... Seems much cheaper way to go IMHO.
Games like Joy Ride would have been better suited as an arcade title.
Who cares if Bungie approves? Half of 343 is original Bungie anyway.
I think Bungie is going to find a long, hard road without Microsoft and Halo backing them up.
