"Anyone still remember when they doubled the price for Xbox live gold? That was not an accident. Not even a slight raise...they took what they had and Doubled It!"
Exactly. Shills want to pump out Game Pass puff pieces like that didn't just happen.
MS provided a sampler of the end game when they tried to double the price of Gold a few weeks back. How soon we forget.
LMAO. No.
And Sea of Thieves. Those were curiously missing from his critique.
"I do get to ignore it because that person is NOT Joel. The community is NOT Joel."
No, you don't. If you want to have a conversation with yourself, be my guest. Just don't reply to my comment if that's what you're going to decide you want to do.
"Why would he have a problem being referred to his name withing the community trusted?"
What? It's not just within the community. Go back to the first g...
"I'm not talking about the community as that's absolutely irrelevant to who Joel is."
But that's what I was talking about as the person who introduced the point. You don't get to ignore that. It doesn't even make sense to claim the community he's lived among for years is "absolutely irrelevant to who Joel is."
"Joel babbling who he was to complete strangers is completely out of character considering every...
"It isn't?"
No, it's not. Nor is throwing up a link going back to an earlier moment from the first game, when Sam attacked Joel during their first meeting, refuting what I stated about Joel's arc. You are aware that months passed between that scene you're trying to portray as a snapshot of who Joel is and the end of the first game, let alone the years between that moment and the beginning of TLOU2?
"We don't know the lif...
@Imalwaysright
Two things to keep in mind:
1) We're talking about different readings of Joel's character and the story. You have a reading. I have a reading. Others may have another reading. This is common for creative works. Granted some readings are more "textually supported" than others. The point is, there's probably no definitive interpretation short of the creator saying what it is, and even then you get some who will argue the...
@StoneyYoshi
I thought about that. I'm wondering if it won't be available outside of PS+ until you can earn online the currency needed to purchase the add on content.
"It’s also understandable to see why Joel did what he did, even though we can all agree that it was morally wrong and selfish."
Not really. I've made the case before that being willing to murder a child in her sleep was a sign of how selfish and morally wrong humanity had become. Naughty Dog has a lot of parallels in their storytelling for this franchise. Something to look at is not just that Joel's daughter died, and then he found a surrogate daughter he ...
The seeds are there for it, and it would be a reason for the main characters to cross paths again, if the rumored Fireflies have a lead on a cure.
I'm not unaware of PS+. I've had it since inception. It's not "free" on there either, but my comment was primarily aimed at the fact that the game is still going to be sold outside of the PS+ subscription period. It would be more understandable if the version with microtransactions is the Instant Game Collection release, but the full priced version has the story challenges unlocked. Somewhat akin to how Drive Club had a stripped down IGC version.
True. But they had better offer a complete experience for the price to justify what they're charging for being add on content. That gets more difficult the higher the price tag.
How is it F2P if it's being released as part of the PS+ sub?
It's not F2P.
I got a hard copy of Concrete Genie on a recent sale.
@gamer7804
You either don't know what a strawman argument is or are being disingenuous. Moving on.
"I’m not saying it didn’t win any player awards"
There you go moving the goalposts again. Here's what you said:
"Games media sure did push this one along with the awards despite the first one being far better both from a games journalist standpoint and user reviews. I enjoyed detroit and hellblade...
@gamer7804
Did you also forget how strawman arguments work, or should we chalk this up to your penchant for disingenuous commentary?
BTW, still from the article you didn't read before sticking your foot in your mouth.

@gamer7804
LMAO. Okay guy. It's over half a year after release, and you're still popping into TLOU2 accolade articles spreading lies and moving goalposts to hate on the game. Pretending it's the people arguing against you who are so insecure that they need the masses to agree with them is as losing an argument as all of your others.
Let me direct your attention to your comment that "games media sure did push this one" and leave you ...
Educated gamers think long term. Educated gamers understand the implications of Xbox trying to double the price of Gold just a few weeks ago. Educated gamers recognize that the only one of the big 3 to adopt the Game Pass model is the only one of the big 3 that has never won a console generation. Educated gamers are not fooled.
