March is soon-ish. It's all relative.

Like Foxtrot said. Not everyone has a 7th generation console or a PC.

Yeah it's been out for so long.

It will also stop many gamers from buying Dark Souls II on next-gen consoles. Though a lot will still get both this way.

Some of them came close but none ever touched it.

Indeed. It's not like the whole game is being outsorced.

Yeah french dubs are horrible (I actually got in a car accident once driving in a snow storm because they gave me the french version of Mass Effect. I was like wtf I specifically asked for english- anyway)... but pre-rendered backgrounds are pure awesome. Final Fantasy VII to IX, Baldur's Gate and all the other IE games.

Still the killing kids thing I don't really get it. I don't think I ever tried killing a kid in Skyrim.

Except that the fact that consoles have static hardware is why games can run so well. Developers can squeeze a lot more juice out of the system that way. (Though we don't see much of that with multiplatform ports)

Another advantage of consoles is how you don't need to upgrade parts to play games built for it.

I'm into PC gaming as well but you can't just ignore that consoles have some advantages over PCs.

It's a PC so you could plug a mouse and keyboard, a 360 controller or anything, really.

Namco still own the publishing rights to Xenosaga so they could re-release it except they won't. Namco seem to just hate that series. Too bad, really.

7 million concurrent users is a huge frickin' big deal.

But no SteamOS or Steam Machines for me. I can build a PC, install Steam and plug it to my TV myself.

Probably. By the way, i5 rocks.

4448d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Oh. Well I agree with you there then.

Too bad for you. I had a blast.

He used to work at Kojima Productions. He was one of the producers on MGS4 I believe. He quit after that. Aaaand that's pretty much the first I heard of him since then.

Edit: He also handled the translation for MGS4 as well as the westernized controls (R1 to shoot instead of Square and all that)

Yeah it did sell pretty well but the feedback from people playing single player wasn't too kind.

Personally I'd take a desktop over a laptop anyday for gaming. Laptops generally have only one fan and thus cannot keep up with the building heat. I have friends who fried their gaming laptops that way.

4449d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The article does say cheap gaming laptops. Mine has intel integrated graphics and performs relatively well. Nothing mind-blowing and mostly low-to-mid specs on recent games but who the hell games hardcore on a laptop?

Basically get Terraria if you want to play this kind of game right now, eventually get Starbound as it has more potential in the long run.

It is kind of unfair to compare the two games right now since Terraria has been out and completed for a while. Starbound is still in the early days of beta.

There's no 180. Everyone knew about this ever since they bought Gaikai.

Well maybe YOU didn't but everyone else did.

IMO I think it's cool for people who don't own a PS3 but I won't be using it anyway.
