It all comes down to a few things in the end.
1. If you're a fan of MGS
2. What you look for in a game
If you answer no at No. 1 then it's not for you.
If all you do in a game is rush through the story and call it the end then it's not for you either.
It's also not a demo. It has less content than a full-priced game but more than a demo. The right price would probably have been a universal 20$ for all...
My guess is it's the naked game with zero DLC. That's usually what happens with PS+ games but there's been exceptions so I could be wrong.
New final smashes to turn off then?
You don't need flares to call an helicopter. You can just use call helicopter from the iDroid.
One good use for flares that I've seen is to distract guards in firefights but that's if you've already been spotted. They'll think it's a real grenade. I found it useful against one of Paz's guards who had a shotgun on my first playthrough.
You haven't mentioned PS+ but it sure seemed like you went out of your way to mention that you keep it forever.
And you're right I never downloaded a GWG game since I don't own a 360 anymore.
As for why I'm here well I like to check out what happens on the 360 and the 1 if they have anything cool going on.
Yeah that was legendary! I'm pretty sure it was unintentional. It's just one of those awesome moments in MGS.
I remember in MGS2, a friend of mine was shooting pigeons with the tranq on the roof of Strut A and one of them fell on a guard and he got knocked out. We tried a bunch of times afterwards but we never managed to recreate it :(
Is that a shot at PS+? Cause my PS+ games are on my HDD and account forever. They're only deactivated if I cancel my plus sub but once reactivated I still have access to all of them.
Except the games are usually much better on PS+. They may just be rental but you'll keep it so long as you're a PS+ member and I don't see any reason to unsubscribe.
Edit: @StealthPandemic
He said PS+ title, not the service.
Not worth the time spent maybe? I know I have like 10-15 games in queue at the moment and I wouldn't put a bad game in this queue even if it was free. That's just me though.
Edit: I'm not saying Absolution is bad though. It actually looked good IMO but I've never played Hitman before so I kind of don't have an opinion on it yet.
SPOILER ALERT
Yeah he was used to fight against Big Boss. That much was confirmed. The AI took control after MGS2. If you'll remember they said the mission was the final test for GW. Though I guess it's possible the other AIs were already in place and had partial control over the world.
The plan to make AIs came about around 1995 (Outer Heaven) in the timeline. That was when Big Boss betrayed Zero and the patriots. They said he lost faith in humanit...
That's one of the best review I read about the game. Good job to the author for making it funny and interesting.
I'd advise renting it as well even though I love it. It really depends on what you want out of it. I wanted to get 100% completion (I'm at 95% right now.) I've been playing for almost 20 hours so in my own particular case I'm very happy with my purchase. Most people won't go for a 100% completion though so that really doesn't apply to everyone.
In other words, most people should just rent it and see for themselves how long the game actually is instead...
It's okay cause it's Metal Gear? Have you been living under a rock since GZ released? The amount of whining about the length online AND in real life is unbearable. Funniest thing is about 5% of those whiners actually played the game.
I agree with you. Kiefer is pretty good and also a good fit. I love Hayter as well though it's true his performance started going down after the first few titles. IMO his best is still MGS1 and it goes down in order of release.
Anyway you can't fight the nostalgia factor. Nostalgia > Reason with most people.
It looks like an amazing game. I can't wait.
I understand not wanting to sell it but it's still a good trade-in price if you wanted/needed to for some reason.
Solidus came after but the actual when was never confirmed. The project was abandoned in 1976 so I'd guess somewhere before then but possibly after 1972.
Properly defined genders? Do you have trouble telling men from women?
I think that's what he meant. Just that he thought MGS3 was the story of how he became evil I guess.
How I see it it was a trigger but we never really saw him go radically "evil."
@WitWolfy
I never played more than an hour tops on any demo. I've played over 20 on GZ. How about you judge things yourself instead of playing the parrot?
