I do not see anything wrong with that as long as the OG switch does not become obsolete because of it.
But can they really justify the upgrade if games are designed with the lowest denominator in mind?that is the question.
I own both the ps4 pro and xbox1x and I can't help but feel how games could look like if they were not held by the OG versions.

Video game market here in Europe is as big as the US, and we have yet to see any mass shooting. You know why?
Because here in Europe, nobody can go in a shop and buy a pistol or semi-automatic riffle.

Selling military weapons to the public is the main reason for these mass shooting.
These guys killed over 30 people and injured 50 others in less than few minutes.
No matter how crazy they are, they wouldn't have killed and injured as many with just a pistol.
Now dirty politician with their pockets filled with NRA money are gonna do what they always do.
They gonna go on TV, they will offer their empty hopes and prayers, then they will blame violence ...
The issue is with publishers, not Nintendo to be fair.
I'm more than happy to pay €60 for an original game like Astral chain, the outer world, doom eternal... Etc.
But paying full price for games that came out 5 or 10 years ago is just ridiculous especially when you can play them on much more powerful consoles for much a cheaper price.

And went on sell on March the 20th.
Horizon zero dawn went gold on January the 31st and went on sale the 28th of February.
Games are usually tweaks until the last month at least and it's completely

I think Sony has earned the respect of gamers and now are considered on the same level of Nintendo in terms of game quality and originality.
I have played quantum break and was really impressed with it. So Control is a no brainer for me
Money always hamper creativity no matter what so I will agree with the fact that indies and AA games bring more original ideas and mechanics. But I do believe that franchises like star wars given to small or big publishers are big responsibility and can make or break any studios therefore trying on new game mechanics, new characters, new lore.. Are way too risky for most of them.

Because uncharted 4 gameplay was anything but basic.
Considering the ps4 is still around €250 and sells between 150k and 200k weekly, I do not see why Sony would cut any prices.
Ps3 in july 2012 was at €199 and sold between 40k and 60k weekly.
When ps5 launch, ps4 will become the budget console but I don't think the price will drop dramatically.
