Your personal opinion on comfort and design aside, how does the X1 controller have "more features" than the DS4? What features specifically does it have over the DS4, because I count the touchpad and share button as two features the X1 controller lacks.

The developer is REALLY saying that because the online component is being delivered mostly as a service by Xbox LIVE (i.e. "the cloud") Turn 10 could devote more of their development time on ensuring that the game ran at 1080p/60fps. I.e. less time coding for online = more time coding for better graphics. Well, duh...

Not sure assigning a solid color to a system state like "high temperature" or "standby mode" is such a good idea. Why not make those states cause the LED (whatever color it is) to just blink? The faster the blinking the warmer the box is, etc.
Also, probably not a huge issue but what about gamers who are partially color-blind and may not be able to discern the difference between the status colors? Blinking the LED takes care of that, plus let's the use...

I'm pretty sure Sony originally intended the camera to be standard equipment with every PS4, but made it optional to hit the (now very important) $399 price point. If you go back and watch the PS4 design team videos they talk about how the camera will pick up the DS4 light bar and determine which player is sitting where, etc. They never qualify these statements with "if you also have the PS4 camera..." This may be obvious to everyone else, but note that this is a one-time offer. Meaning it's a $50 "trade up" voucher that is only good for a single game.
It's still a nice idea though for people really want a game on release day and can't wait for the XB1 release. Trading up for $10 is a pretty good deal, imho.
FWIW, those who have gotten their hands on the Dualshock 4 have confirmed Sony's claims that the 'floaty' analog sticks are a thing of the past. The DS4's sticks are allegedly much 'stiffer' with a much smaller dead zone.
Oh please, enough with the "MS will have 300,000 servers" stuff. That's just meaningless marketing/PR fluff to make it sound like they've improved Live's performance 10x. And if you want to talk online server infrastructure, all I can say is: Gaikai

Oh man, this reminds of the 'dark times' shortly after the PS3 launch when Jack Tretton was in denial during a press interview and was insisting that the PS3 was selling through so fast at retail that there were none on the shelves. The interviewer had to (uncomfortably) disagree and point out that many retailers were saying they still had unsold stock.
