I get what you're saying, but sales *do* matter for the end customer to some extent. Game developers, especially smaller ones, tend to gravitate to (i.e. support) the console with the bigger market share because that means a larger customer base to potentially sell to. A dev with limited resources who has to pick a console to develop their game one may well focus on the PS4 because it has over 50% of the market. Those dollars and cents decisions from developers can certainly effect the q...
Hey the greater than sign is *math*. Ya can't argue with math. So I guess XBOX ONE > PS4 after all. Then again 13mil sold < 25mil sold, so now I'm confused. Damn you MATH!!!
I bet all 15 of your disagrees came from people who only read the first sentence :-)
^This. If I'm dumb enough to fall for some email phishing scam and give someone my Gmail password, I can't turn around and complain that "Google got hacked!"
There is no evidence that any credit card data was compromised as a result of the PSN hack in 2011. CC data was encrypted. Other personal user info, and to a lesser extent passwords, were not encrypted (or had weaker encryption)
So yeah, I don't see having my CC info on PSN as any more a risk than Amazon having my CC info or my use of online banking. All the major CC companies will waive fraudulent charges anyway, so aside from the inconvenience of being issued a new c...
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
...Aaaaand there you go:

(edit: no pricing details yet)
There is such a huge focus on the "PS4 has no exclusives for the holidays" and that MS has Halo and Tomb Raider. Those are certainly very big guns (well, one big gun at least) in MS's arsenal, but it's not like Sony will be shooting blanks this holiday. In addition to the significant PR bump of the Playstation Experience Dec 5-6, they also have two very big exclusive marketing deals with COD and a little sci-fi franchise known as Star Wars (perhaps you've heard of it?) ...
"But the gap right now is BARELY 2:1 (25.3 - 13), and that's AFTER Sony's big Batman deal, and BEFORE Halo 5."
Yeah, and BEFORE the PS4's first price drop and BEFORE Uncharted 4.
Has there been confirmation that the new model supports hard drives thicker than 9mm (i.e. 12mm?) I read somewhere that the hard drive bay was modified slightly to allow physically taller drives.
I think that's definitely their target. This collection, remastered @ 1080p/60fps would certainly seem to be a precursor to UN4 having those same specs. I mean, why extoll the benefits of 60fps for TLOU:R, then remaster UC1-3 in 60fps, then turn around and release their flagship PS4 game in 30fps?
Given the location of F4, my inner geek is hoping that they include the Boston Convention Center as a playable area, complete with tattered old "PAX East" signage :-D
Wouldn't that be Turds with Friends?
I don't know, but he must be related to Elmo.
"Sony said the PS4 was easy to program for, where's Uncharted 4?"
What the hell kinda logic is that? As if "easy to program for" magically creates in-game assets, story, game mechanics, voice work, and everything else that goes into a AAA title.
Hey Zinc, there's only 26 letters in the alphabet. Where's your 450-page New York Times best selling novel?
Italy must have made them an offer they couldn't refuse.
An upside-down 6.9 is still a 6.9. Just sayin' :-D
Exactly, MasterC. Key word here is "enable" online functionality. As in, "unlock it". They didn't say the patch "fixes the broken online" or "adds onlne", they specifically said "enable".
Tricky thing, dem werdz.
100% agree JohnDoe. What is the market for these devices? The PC gamer already has a custom-built rig (and presumably likes the ability upgrade pieces of it) and the console gamer already has a PS4/XBO/WiiU for the exclusives. Throw in the relatively high prices of these Steam machines and I just don't see who is going to buy these things.
Holy crap the attention to detail in this game is astounding!
Check out 2:53 when Nate runs up the stairs. In the E3 playthrough vid he just runs straight up the stairs. In this video he enters the stairway close to the left side and he actual puts out his left arm to steady himself against the wall as he runs up! That kind of contextual animation is just insane.
