when you click on a picture, click on the 3rd button from the left in the top corner! it blows the picture up!
you can't read the language, but when you click on the picture, the third button from the left makes them HELLA big
I think what is happening is, during e3, they had the simple mode on instead of the hard mode. damage in the latter 2 difficulty levels proabably have more damage to them; and we can all imply that in the hardest level, we will take the most mechanical damage ever and being that cosmetic damage costs money, the most cosmetic damage might surface.
or, maybe the e3 build (which is what we keep seeing), wasn't a stable enough build to model lots of damage. this is probably why duri...
I've seen that video a long time ago and of course it does look good. The problem is that there still seems to be too many real-time reflections on the cars in these screenshots compared to what we see on this gtr in the video.
I agree with what someone up there said above--these are from the game, but they are probably off of the development computers. When you go to IGN's page for this game, the cars don't look like the corvette in the white background on these screens. It loo...
no comment at all...I mean, the game is coming in the fall of 2013 at the very, very earliest!
I don't know what else to tell you. the main character in this game is a vulnerable human like everyone else; he can't take hella bullets and he doesn't have any powers or immunities.
THe gunfights in this game look a little more cool simply because of your ally's AI. You saw how the guy with the tommy gun was running up on guys when they were down? that was hella cool. The destructable environment and cover looked clean too.
Plus, the gameplay that was shown wasn't...
It makes me think it is the pc
but like the guy above said, the only difference should really be texture resolution and texture pop-in. everything else shuld b the same
those cover mechanics look really beautiful
Why in the hell weren't they using gameplay from at least the demonstration at e3 for forza 3? How are they going to use CG footage? I understand that blur has no gameplay videos, so it was okay for that to be CG but not freakin forza.
...it was also horrible how they kept reusing footage; especially from forza..it wasn't even done in a clever way
basically i have to reduce the count by about 1 million. on this post on the forza forums, the people seem to agree that forza 2 had about 100k polys per car
http://forums.forzamotorspo...
either way, this is a maximum of 5 times the polys of polyphony's best cars.
@creeping judas: you have no idea how turn 10 models their cars; despite the large amout of polys ...
forza carries multiples more polygons than any of the cars in gt 5. at the most, each car in forza is probably about 7-9 cars in gt 5 in poly counts.
polyphony has stated that each car in their game will have like 200,000 polygons (i wonder if that's the whole car or if that does not include interiors)
forza 2's best cars were 200,000 polygons. since most cars in forza 3 will be 10x that much (as we keep hearing dan greenwalt say), that's a maximum of 2 million polyg...
but in motion, it still has not fooled me to be real life like gt 5 does. There's just something about that lighting engine like i've said in an earlier post...turn 10s may be more technically savvy, but the way polyphony tailored theirs makes the cars look more lifelike to me. WHen i watch forza, i immediately know it's a game, especially with those le mans cars. I admit that in that 60 fps gameplay gamersyde released the other day, it looked ultra realistic. maybe we jus need to see it in 6...
These graphics are amazing..but on some of these shots, the lighting on the cars still convinces me that gt5 has a better lighting engine for daytime. I love the forza franchise and im getting this game (i only have a 360).however, despite gt5 having a far lower poly count per car (which it should; it has twice the amount of cars as this game), almost every time you see a pic of a car from it, it looks almost photorealistic because of that damn lighting engine. sometimes forza looks too brigh...
Those are gt5 screenshots made smaller. Gran turismo psp has aliasing issues and it doesn't have realtime reflections.. it has those kind of reflections where the artists make it seem like it is reflecting the important landmarks around it but it's not realtime. Crackdown had these kinds of reflections...
When you look at a gt psp on video, the environments are not as beautiful as these screenshots have.
look at this screenshot of it on IGN!!
Also, looking at the pedestrians in the pictures will help out too.
And whoever thinks the very, very last ...
what kind of fanboyism are you displaying here?...it's really just sad..it's really freakin sad....
the only thing that hinders the 360 from greatness is the storage problem. 360 may not be stronger than the ps3 pound for pound, but I'm pretty sure if it had just as much storage it would do similarly as well as the ps3.
they have figured out a solution to the storage problem...so they CAN fit 400 cars into this game. the game also has 100 tracks, which means it has a...
We won't have to switch between the discs all the time...the second disc comes with stuff we will download into the hard drive and then we will always play off of disc one.
the downside is, people would have to bring both of the discs to a friend's house and install the second disc for a short time if the owner of the game or the friend likes a car or a track on the second disc. This would only be true, of course, if the friend wanted forza 3 to be on his gamertag...

this game comes out june 30th
The responsiveness will increase there was a story on here like last week that said that the development team is going to improve the controls (but will not add buttons). The build in the demo is from like late march/early April.
While the textures on the items in this game may not be thoroughly intricate, just the amount of things they put in each of these screens--hence, the locations in the game--show me that the atmosphere they create makes up for the lack of completely high-res textures. For me, a lot of these places look realistic because they decided to put a lot of extras in the environment instead of making things look kind of "brand new" like these places have barely ever been touched. On the 2 min...
what are you talking about? It's 2009 and we are still seeing comments like this!
It's SUPPOSED to be a well known fact that the 360 can hold its own against the ps3. The only drawback is the disc space on the 360. The 360's power does allow it to handle the rendering required for games like killzone 2 that have 1 gb of data for every level. Just about the only advantage the ps3 has is storage per disc, which means that its games are able to have more sophisticated textures and t...
