Yea..
Only people like me who frequented the forzamotorsport.net and forzacentral websites during the summer knew about this. I think somebody on forza central had impressions (I think it was a team blackjack member) and said it was possible.
More specifically, a user on the same website said that he played around with these settings in forza 2. Now, obviously he didn't have an in-car view, but he was able to make things further away, for watever reasons, when he wan...
They do; for the most part.
It depends on what car you're driving. modeling efforts were greater on some cars than others.
In the demo, the mini cooper model looks very, very good on the menu screen. However, it takes a small hit during gameplay. The rear view mirrors and the metal surrounding the headlights are a lot more round in the menu than gameplay unfortunately. The quality of the reflections are not reduced during gameplay however.
The Audi R8, ...
Previous arrogance aside, this news story has nothing to do with Turn 10's ability or inability to program.
They have valid concerns based on the amount of community activity from Forza 2.
Their strategy for the pictures seems to be more a server performance strategy than just another outlet of arrogance from Turn 10.
but i would hope that people wouldn't consider those games art over anything else because of their animation styles and gameplay.
I seriously don't understand the argument that videogames aren't a form of art.
Also i wish the guy in this article hadn't had forum-esque grammatical errors.
okay...GT does not have perfect environments either but what I mainly meant was the actual car modelling. That quote had little do with the actual car models and more with how they can be deformed. For the most part, before cars are damaged in forza 3, the cars in forza 3 have nice modelling..emphasis on THE MOST PART. There are some bad ones in there obviously. Therefore, if we take a majority of the cars out of the forza 3' engine for the environments and we place them in GT's, just the she...
All forza needs is gt5's lighting engine. Then it could definitely compete if not surpass gt5 because of the amount of polygons in each car.
however, I know most people really, really care about a game being able to run at native 1080 and they don't do that with 360 games ( I guess it can't?) so probably nobody will agree with me.
PD also has an amazing artistic style.
PD is to Michael Jackson as Turn 10 is to Ph.D vocal professor--Voice professor has sp...
Nice list :)
they aren't glitches, they were just touching the sticks still when they were crashing hard.
If you don't touch the sticks or buttons after a crash, you won't see the car trying to turn itself back over. I guess they didn' have time to implement real penalty from crashing so they just made it where one can turn his car back over. I'm not saying this was the best way to go, but crashes keep looking like that because people touch the buttons during the crash, hence the car looks li...
I had no idea of all of these antics from microsoft..i knew about like 2 of these. They really fuked up in their marketing strategy.
It's just not worth it...
yea the arcade was such a cheap idea. They created a whole business plan off of the moniker "I have a Xbox 360 for $200!" knowing damn well that people owning the console have a sub-par Xbox experience. The people who bought it based on low finances should have been spared the exploitation and embarrassment. Microsoft has not created an experience affordable by all budgets, so they should have just kept tailoring to the customers who can definitely afford the console by reasonable m...
But it was using the monsterously improved rendering tech of the replay. While in gt5 and forza, the replays improve the graphics a little bit, in gt psp it's an overhaul.
Either way, there's no way that it compares graphically to forza 3 its a freakin handheld...its touts nice replays but it's not comparable
This comparison wreaks of gran turismo fanb0yism.
goin to be a killer game but I don't like the rendering in this CGI trailer...Nobody looked like real life except for the mascots. The proportions from body to body parts was HELLA WEIRD
this sounds like more calmly conveyed confidence that turn 10 was touting. "Perfect?" nothin is perfect.
However, we know his mouth ain't goin to get loud like Dan's.
BUT, should we be critiquing arrogance by the way it's delivered or for the context with which it's been manifested?
I can already tell that people will want to tell me shut up, he's justified and has a track record of delivering great games...Turn 10 does too with their short tim...
force in italian
Dude...wait until we see footage of the final game in the environments shown in these pics..
the graphics are not displayed well on camino viejo because of the really bright lighting. you can't say that the Ferrari fxx video doesn't look good. sh*t, even the intro video looks good. Look at the r8 just as it switches to that formula one car. They captured that trailer all in game without exporting videos from the editor
Shut your dumba$$ up...Forza already had its release date set. So Turn 10 didn't release the game in October to "avoid GT 5," PD just isn't finished with the game when everybody thought they would be. It's VERY debatable that PD is in a power position right now; they aren't blatantly "1 up" on Turn 10 automatically as you're implying
GT 5's graphics are better than Forza's but Forza doesn't look like crap next to it like you're implying.
Camino vi...
They need to wait to compare forza to other things like on nurburgring. I admit that they kinda overdid "well this sun is up high so these cars need to be very bright" on camino viejo. None of the lights turn on in forza so that's also probably why it looks quite better.
As we all know though, turn 10 is touting some great tech but they need artists who render the environments and cars more cohesively as an artistic package. Thats wat gt5 and shift look like. It seems l...
I don't know what build of game this demo comes from, but I know that on a video during an event in late august (not gamescon), there is a video of a whole Porsche rear bumper coming off on the iberian circuit. I noticed on this demo--i've played it--bumpers don't come off. I think the final version will have more flying pieces
Firstly, I don't understand why people got upset with the physics engine for driving so much. I liked it more realistic, because the old way was too little like real life. I actually drive better in gta iv than i have in any other gta game, but maybe that's just me. I spent some time trying to get good at driving (did it by running away from police with a lot of stars) and when i did get quite good, i felt i had more control over the car than any other gta game. Why are people upset cuz they ...
