I just watched that video preview, and I don't care how many pixels it was. It looked pretty sweet to me.
Offer the 160 gb PS3 at $199, and drop the move bundle down to $299, and then you have a winner. The only reason the 360 is winning this gen, is due to the arcade model. For lots of people it doesn't matter that the PS3 was the better value. It is just getting the console in the home for the kids, and MS did that with the lower end model 360's.
Of course then the parents had to go out and buy an expensive hard drive, pay for Live, and get a wireless adapter, but it didn't...

The problem with Kinect is that there is only so much you can do without a controller. No buttons = swatting, throwing, and dancing. You can still do all of that with the move, and still play games like killzone 3. Like the video said, the Kinect has the wow factor, but once the Wow is over, which games am I supposed to play with it? I take the Move and Killzone over the kinect and dance central any day.
This sucks, I was so looking forward to 2k getting back into the game. I hope Roger Goodell drops dead.
Hopefully they build one for the PS3, and leave the sticks offset like the 360's. Hint Hint....
I've said from the start, there are only so many of the kiddie games you can take. Like batting at a ball, and jumping side to side, or petting a animal. It has to get old quick, and it will be tough for them to incorporate any other type of games without a controller. We skipped getting it, and are glad that we did. It screams cabbage patch kids, tickle me Elmo, etc.....
Most games I get later for a cheaper price, but games like KZ3, I will be getting day one.
I would think they should be able to something about the hackers. They have to have had some type of a plan for this.
I'd buy it. I am not crazy about the DS3. I really don't understand why Sony doesn't try something different. Like one poster said, try a new design out with the PS3, and then you have something for the PS4. I don't see why they don't offer a controller setup like the 360, and then offer the style they have now.

I wish Sony would have at least updated the Dual shock. I just got a PS3, and think the 360's controller is so much better. I am looking into some 3rd party controllers to match the 360's feel.
I just got a PS3, and have been playing Uncharted 2. It is the most fun I have had gaming in a long time. I fire it up, hoping to play for a half hour or so, and 3 hrs later, I still can't put it down.
They should really push the free online in their advertising. Americans love free.
I did the same thing this Christmas, only I am going to sell my 360. No need to pay for Live anymore, and I have no interest in kinect.
I just got rid of my 360 and got a PS3 for Xmas. I couldn't be happier not paying to play online. The hacking in MW2 just got patched, and I am yet to see a hacker in Black Ops. Pay your $50 a year for cross game chat if you want, I prefer to play online on a superior system for free.
