What took them so long to pull the plug? Attack of the Show was one of the worst shows I ever watched.
Kinda scary they are still charging $299 for some sku's this generation.
I was just saying that you kinda bashed the other guy for writing the same type of article.
" I read an article today talking about how PSN+ trumps Xbox Live, which had the potential to be a decent piece if the author had provided any relevant comparison of either service. Instead I was greeted with cold hard journalistic research informing me of important facts"
You didn't give us any facts. You wrote an article based on your opinion. You bashed the previous article for not having facts, and then did the same thing as the previous writer.
Sony just needs to launch the PS4 along side the nextbox, and make Killzone multiplayer as good as Halo, keep the PSN free and keep giving great content for PS+. This will force Microsoft's hand in the next gen to make Xbox live free, and if they want to charge us a fee, give us content like PSN+.
I loved the original Halo. I thought it was amazing. It was crisp and clear, and I hadn't seen AI like that in a game.
1. Easier to develop for.(supposed to be doing this)
2. Make a true competitor to Halo. Killzone is ohh so close. I love the campaign, but the multiplayer fall short.
3. Redesign the controller. I have both systems, and anyone who says the dual shock is better than an Xbox controller is a fanboy.
4. Make a launch price $50 cheaper than the new Xbox, and make sure the launch is before or not long after M$'$ new console.
5. If they can do the previous 4 thing...
I thought it worked quite well.
I'll wait for $39.
The power of Halo!
I've had both systems. I now have a PS3, but have an Xbox coming for Xmas. I really missed Halo. IMHO it is the best multiplayer shooter out there.
Sony could have won this war by making an online shooter to rival Halo. I loved the single player of Killzone, but the multiplayer didn't hold a candle to Halo.
Sony also should have redesigned the controller. I know some Sony fans like the dualshock, but I really feel those are just the fan boys who can't admit that t...
I get a ton of apps on my Samsung BlueRay player for free. Do the right thing MS, and make online gaming and the use of these apps free.
This is why the Xbox rules in the United States. We are the dumbest, and most wasteful consumers in the world, and Microsoft knows it. Who would have thought that you could bottle water and sell it??? Just send it over to the stupid Americans, they'll buy it. You have a Wii, PS3, and Cpu gaming that you can play online for free. What do we, the ...
Lets not forget that I don't have to pay $60 a year to play online and use Netflix. I'm still amazed that Microsoft actually raised the price of Live by $10 and Xbox fans took it with a grain of salt.
Why wouldn't hey just put a better processor in it? Easier to program for = better games.
Switch the left analog stick and D-pad already. Sony assumes we are all from Japan and have tiny little hands.
If Sony keeps the price lower the the nextbox, and keeps PSN free, I see a new winner in the console war next Gen.
I understand some of his points, but as far as the PS4 goes, Sony is finally going with a more standard processor instead of a cell chip. This will make it much easier to program for, thus making multi plat games more on an even playing field. That paired with free online play, and some great exclusives, should help Sony make a major comeback in the next Gen.
This could become a huge factor in the NextGen console wars. If the PS3 and Xbox 720 are equal in power and price, then the added value of PSN could tip the scales in Sony's favor. Sony's next console is also supposed to be developer friendly, so MS will lose the advantage in MP games being better. Hopefully it forces MS to at least give us online play for free.
All Sony has to do is make a true Halo killer, and they will rule the console wars next Gen.
They will both be close, and hopefully Sony learned their lesson, and make their console easier to program for.
