I mean like how long it took Microsoft to allow self-publishing and actually reaching out to indies the way Sony has. Microsoft has only recently caught up (which is by no means a bad thing). But as some of the guys below are saying, something good for Microsoft ain't something bad for Sony.

Personally, I'd like to see the franchise take a break or at least get a major overhaul too. Maybe gets some good remakes of RE0, RE, RE2, RE3 and RE:CV. What I would really like is for them to remake these games in HD and offer fans both the traditional fixed camera angles and the option to toggle between that and the newer RE4 style of gameplay. Now that would be something.
Sony's had a bigger lead. Microsoft simply meeting indie publishing standards is not enough to say Sony's lost the advantage. So no, PS4 has not lost its advantage quite yet.

PS4 launched wit a lot of multiplats and ports. I think Knack and Killzone were its only real exclusives and now it has inFamous Second Son (which looks freaking cool btw). It'll get more as time goes on but right now PS4 doesn't have a fantastic library. The amount of indie support on it is nuts though. Wii U might not have third party support, but it's got some killer exclusives and with a lot more on the way.
Isn't this "award" determined by customer satisfaction and not by corporate deeds? I'm pretty sure that's why these guys are fighting for the label.

Yeesh, three disagrees? People must like this wheel (which is cool btw). Yeah the design is actually pretty nice and probably goes well with a Wii U. There's a preorder promotion in the UK where people who get the game get a little blue shell collectible trophy. I want it soooo badly. :(

I dislike Gamestop as much as the next guy, but it's never right to cheer for a company going out of business. We're talking about a lot of people suddenly being out of a job, many of them decent and honest workers. Gamestop has its share of crappy employees but many of them are nice people who don't deserve to be laid off.

I love the crap out of MGS. I owned all the games on PS2, bought a PS3 just for MGSIV and then I bought the Legacy collection. I'm never paying $30 for a game that is shorter than many $5 on Steam, PSN, XBLA and Wii U eShop. No way, not ever and nope. No mark of quality saves it. Portal 2 was twice the price of Ground Zeroes and had more than four times the playable content without even counting its coop mode! Also bringing up Call of Duty doesn't help your case. CoD has lot of multip...
Hopefully all Nintendo fans can come together and back this. RTS is what the Wii U gamepad was waiting for.
Spread the word dude. People need to stop thinking Call of Duty and Battlefield and start thinking Oddworld lol. Either way, I think this will do just fine. Indie games on 3DS, Wii U and PC are selling a million+ with new IPs. Think of how this will do across all those plus PS4.
Edit: Also Oddworld is a beloved franchise. It will be successful for sure as long as fans buy it and spread the word to build hype.
