Oh yeah? You had a chance to play a demo? What's the gameplay like? Is it like LA Noire? Or is it more of an adventure game?
Is that on PC? My experience on Xbox One was pretty quick on matchmaking (albeit pretty unbalanced) and then there was indeed a countdown. Servers generally last since players can jump in during matches, other than that after getting into a game all you really need to worry about is that sixty second countdown.
No bad news from my friend (his Xbox One is the one I played Titanfall on). Sounds like they'll need to issue another patch to deal with the load times. :/
Calling this a RE4 rehash is like saying Mighty No. 9 is a Mega Man rehash. It's quite like the former, but it's made by its creator. It will have the same great feeling but it will have its unique stylistic spin. Shinji Mikami is a game design genius and I trust him to make a great game.
It's just unplayable demo footage. Hardly something to judge the final product over.
I still don't understand how anyone can make a judgement about this game with just demo footage. I'd like to know what it's like to actually fix it.
Is that... Slenderman? o_O
Clenches it. This is going to be amazing.
From the Kickstarter.
"When do you expect the game, and the closed beta to launch?
We expect a 6 month development cycle for the game, so launch around this Holiday Season. This is of course optimistic and can shift.
With the closed beta though, we expect to start that as early as summer. We want to deeply involve the community in it, and showoff the game with glory at PAX Prime."
I don't think we'll get Wii U sadly....
All very great points. I have no idea what Nintendo's plans are, but as long as they provide games, then Wii U will hopefully pick up. As far as third party support, Nintendo thankfully has a nice platform for indies and self-publishing. Nintendo also announced expanding on third party partnerships like with Hyrule Warriors. I think with the help of their partnered devs, they can supply more exclusive first party content and make the Wii U worthwhile despite its poor third party support. ...
That's cool. But I prefer the major three's approach to supporting dedicated gaming devices. Nvidia shield is neat, but I already have a phone I am happy with as well as a 3DS and a Vita I intend to purchase at some point.
I'd be very surprised all of those things did not appear at E3 this year. Or at least a Nintendo Direct for them.
" Everything about it is “ace” – the boss battles, the hidden treasures, the slide races, the absolutely ingenious way all the various sections / levels of the game fit together like a puzzle. To call it an adventure is nothing short of a massive understatement, this game presented you with an unforgettable voyage across adjoining worlds, effectively elevating the Mario franchise to the next level."
Took a while for me to get to this one. I missed out on the 64 for...
Holy crap. Imagine what'll be required for Half-Life 9!
Aaaaand of course they all look fantastic.
Tearaway uses it for some interesting puzzles, I noticed. That's a shame there are no clicks, but then 3DS has great games with no clicks and only one analogue nub. I'm sure Vita will be fine without the click buttons.
This game was alright. No Goldeneye, but it was fun to play. The fact that they got Sean Connery to voice Bond was pretty awesome.
If it's a free update, I'll go nuts. If it's paid then I'll have to hope for my friend liking it enough to pay for it. Call me a freeloader, but that comes with not being rich lol.
It IS the game's primary criticism. The multiplayer campaign is pretty uninspired and just doesn't work that well. And this comes from someone who loves the game.
The original Resident Evil games, Ape Escape, Crash Bandicoot, honestly I could go on forever.
