Only possible through crowdfunding lol. It's a great way for gamers to help developers make the games that they want. Right now I'm hoping the next Oddworld game is crowdfunded since those games are generally self-published.
Some believe it's a good strategy though. The 3DS game comes out in the summer when there isn't a lot of big releases and can help serve as a preview for what's coming to Wii U owners. Wii U is supposed to come out during the holiday season when the hype is in full swing. Finally they plan to make connectivity between the two versions to create incentive to own both versions. I don't think it will be as bad as people think. :)
Problem was they REALLY pushed Ezio's character a lot longer than they should have. And then Connor came out and was just way too agsty and hated everyone.
It was never really pushed back. It's the first time we've had a more specific date than "year 2014."
Nah, they're just making sure their cash cow doesn't lose any momentum. Better to have one best selling profitable system than two systems that don't sell.
A Civ game in space? Please, show me more. Matter of fact, just take my money right now.
This is a very refreshing blog. The indie scene definitely deserves the rise it's gotten. It's great to see these talented developers being given a chance at success. I've actually donated to about ten different Kickstarter video games. Still waiting on Shantae, A Hat in Time and Mighty No. 9. I think crowdfunding, as it improves, can become a regular method of indie funding. :)
Begs the question if they plan on making the multiplayer between versions cross-compatible.
Not all Wii U jokes are malicious. Ever watch Francis on YouTube? He's done some Wii U satire before and it's as much a commentary on the console as well as the people complaining about it. :)

Localization definitely is in order. I was actualy really happy to hear about the Hatsune Miku games getting localized on Vita. Hopefully Sony will follow Sega's lead and localize games as well as encourage other Japanese publishers/developers to localize their games.
Makes me think of the old Tony Hawk games. Those soundtracks were a rockin' good time.
Done aaaaaand done! Any one of those games would be welcome in my book. :)
Free DLC can't be beat either. It may as well be a GOTY edition with better visuals. :)
I don't think they used any facial motion capture either. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the bodies mocapped by the voice actors and then the faces were animated by hand later?
Trade in for $10 price tag! I'd do that in an instant.
Kudos to you for that. I also played it quite a few times on PS3, so I have far less incentive than someone who has not yet played it. Goes to show that not every game release is for every person.
Ohh? And this here is why I love Sony the most out of all other publishers/developers. So open to new ideas and fan feedback. These guys are doing wonderfully this gen so far. :D
The fact that they got this running on Vita in the first place... I love my 3DS but I doubt it could run that. Even if it's not an exclusive and a port, I think it's definitely a technological achievement for the developers. :)
Isn't that what practically every gamer does at this point? It's difficult to find people who approach things with a more open mind these days. :/
Correct. Xbox One games will probably get better over time, but PS4 will be the lead due to ease of development. Since the two have x86 architecture it will also make porting between consoles and PCs much easier.
