As you say, vgchartz (tries) to count sold to consumer, not shipped. That being said, the reason VGChartz is always somewhat close to the real numbers is that they correct them when official numbers are released. I don't think Microsoft is this close to selling 1 million consoles to consumers, maybe they are closing up on 1 million shipped though.
Congrats Microsoft! You've already done better than anybody thought you would in Japan. Too bad Gran Turismo 5 and FFXIII are right aroun...

Sony counts PSP- and PS3numbers. That's the same as counting the numbers for only one console :D. Users with a ps2 that wants to write on the sony forum also has to sign up for a psn account.

Yeah? So Microsoft aren't allowed to count Silver accounts? Maybe Sony shouldn't count free accounts either!! And how can you be an "active user" on xbox live if you don't own an xbox360?
I'll admit one thing I got wrong though. Microsoft also counts the vast userbase of the original Xbox into their numbers!!!
PSN includes people online on Sony PS3, PSP and people who write on the Sony forums. Microsofts figure is only for Xbox360.

I'm not arguing that putting the games on the 360 is smarter, only that it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Yakuza 3 is big in Japan, so they put it on the ps3. Star Ocean is a huge IP worldwide, so they put it on 360. Obviously they could've made more putting their games on both consoles (...
I'm just saying, Square/Enix can make more money and gain a new audience for their games outside of Japan (lol one country) by releasing them on the 360. I'm not saying that it's A LOT SMARTER to do that, just that it's pretty silly to say that it would be worse.

I still think it's unfair to put PC-RTS' and Console RTS' in the same category. RTS on PC was this simple years ago, and has evolved to be more advanced with a lot of micro management. Halo Wars does the opposite, keeping the basebuilding, resource management and battles simple.
Compare first day sales to first week sales? That's just dumb.

Official street fighter forum says that the 360 version is the definitive version, but on the other hand, Llort on N4G said that PS3 version is better. Hmmm decisions, decisions.
