I suggest you read an economics course. Nothing is ever free. The difference is that the cost is included in the price when you buy a ps3 or Wii, while 360 fans can choose if they need it or not. This makes it more expensive for those that need it, but cheaper for those that don't (Like myself).
The gap is around 6.600.000 units. So if every week was black friday week the ps3 would catch up in 22-23 weeks. Too bad the typical weekly gap is 30.000 units, which would make ps3 catch the 360 in 220-230 weeks if current sales trends continues.

I'll just enjoy Assassins Creed 2 on my 360 after christmas, I really don't think I'm going to enjoy it less just because it is on the ps3 also.

I think I will be enjoying FFXIII more, if it is like Final Fantasy X (My favourite after VII). I'll be getting both though.

So does Sony! Buying a launch ps3 at 600$ I guess the least the uninformed consumers would expect is better graphics for multiplatform games and better online. Unfortunately the ps3 has neither =(
Because Amazon packs in a game with every 360 for Black Friday, Microsoft is desperate for sales. Yeah that's some pretty nice fanboy logic there!
It has already been proven that online services with a premium option are superior to all others.

It's strange how ps3fanboys can't be satisfied with a great console, great games and a great blurayplayer. It has to be BETTER than the opposition, and everything the opposition does is crap. I guess they are still feeling depressed after all that ranting in 2005: "The ps3 will kill 360 in 06."
Well, guess what, both consoles are great with great games and both consoles are very healthy and this is a good thing for the games industry. So get your head out of your assses...
the version of Dragon Age they reviewed was the 360-version. Dragon Age runs great on my computer but I don't think I would have enjoyed playing the console version of the game.
There has been an app for updating achievements and game purchases for your 360 on facebook for a few years now.
