This is just for last quarter. Let's see... All games they put out the last quarter was multiplatform, except for Bioshock PS3. So they published one PS3 exclusive game (For the quarter) and 0 360 Exclusive games, and yet 360 almost generated more revenue?

360 over 11000, most Sony fanboys said that it would sell around 1000 with no games. Microsoft must be thrilled with the momentum they have in Japan.

The PS3 did have a price drop in Nov '07 which has increased their momentum for this entire year until the 360 lowered its price. The worrying thing for Sony isn't that Microsoft is selling more right now, the worrying thing is that YOY sales dropped in the US this month even though the console is the same price and has a better lineup. 360 will probably keep their momentum until the next ps3 price drop, although I don't think a lousy 50$ is gonna do the trick for Sony this time.

Actually, Sony's PS3 price cut was last november, so price is the same now as then. More good games out though.
Nov. 2007 / Nov 2008 = Differential
Playstation 3: 466K / 378K = -88K
Playstation 2: 496K / 206K = -290K
PSP: 567K / 421K = -146K
I haven't stated any facts. I just thought it was foolish to even think that Q3 would be double from last year when november last year saw a price cut and this year there hasn't been one, plus economic crisis.

And the numbers I was referring to aren't vgchartz numbers, they are estimates based on the companies press releases after Black Friday. All of these estimates have the ps3 around 10% lower than last years Black friday.
I could look for them and post links here, but since official NPD numbers are coming in 1.5 hours, I'll just post last years result and we can compare the official numbers then:

So if sales fall in november, that means that Sony are on course to double last years result in Q3? Yeah, that's some nice logic.
Just saying what I'm thinking. Sales fall yoy in november, sales are likely to fall yoy in december. That's why I wrote (In the part you conveniently didn't quote) "The ps3 is unlikely to match last year" and "I'd BET for around 4 million Q3".

Q3 last year was their big price cut that really got the ps3 to start selling. That's why every quarter this year has been double that of the last.
This years black friday numbers were lower than last years. Will the entire month of november be lower than last year since there is no price cut this year? Maybe. NPD is only 2 hours away which will show us the trend in US sales at least.
I'd say same price Q3 this year as last year, with Nintendo Wii and 360 gaining moment...
