Sony helped Codemasters to develop the Neon engine for the new Colin, and said they were still OK with a 360 version. But in this case, a 360 ONLY game, i think it's not gonna happen.
ZootFly confirmed they where somewhat working on a GB game, for the 360, but they've stopped the work for now because of IP issues.
There's a thread in the 360 section
http://www.news4gamers.com/...
But that's not the case... But in fact if you carefully check their website, they say they develop only for xbox (first and 360) and PC.
Never heard about a game developped by them for the first xbox though !
Now i think getting the IP could be problematic if they only develop it for the 360 since the GB rights belong to Sony.
So the PS2 and PSP have eDRAM, but wait, it's not like the xenos ?
And so nVidia copies the 360 ? Why not the PSP and PS2 then lol.
The game demo is done on a PS3, and there's a long demonstration of the sixaxis' motion sensing fonction use in this game. So yeah, i put it in the PS3 section.
I see no reason to be upset, and call me a "fanboy" (lol)
And i think that if putting this news as multi was so obvious and necessary, the mods prolly would have done it.
99.9% of 360 owners check the PS3 section anyways, so who cares.
It's just that i've read some comments talking about GoW modding and code stealing. Just scroll up.
You guys believe it's just GOW modding because of the 3rd person view and the camera that shakes when the guy runs ? lol
There is no way it's a mod. Mods don't bring that much changes in games and in the case of physics those improvements.
And just a camera angle and effect isn't hard to reproduce, you don't need to steal code or whatever.
So they say the sales numbers from the NPD are incomplete. yeah, of course, could be.
NPD says 1.1M 360's and then you ADD about 30% ?
NPD says 650k PS3's and you SUBSTRACT 15% ?
And you tell people to grab a calculator ?
Where the hell did you get that 500k from ?
Isn't there something wrong there ?
In this article they say about 900k PS3's sold in 2K6 in NA.
I won't go into the whole argument "bigger space means better games" because it's not necessarily true. Hell, i still have fun with games that take like 2MB.
But, the point is that if you have a look at the video games history, this storage increase has always happened, and it was necessary to improve games : graphics, sound, etc.
A snes game ? max 10MB
Then the PS1 / saturn era : 800MB
Then, the PS2 / xbox era : 9GB
Just an exampl...
Kojima never ever used pre rendered stuff in his games. He simply hates it, because he has to wait for the rendering to be done. And since he likes tweaking the camera angles, lighting and so on, he only uses real time stuff
Check this out if you still don't believe it

That's what the PS2 section on this site is for you know, post PS2 news.
GoW 2 looks like a solid game, and probably better than some so called next gen games.
If you don't like PS2 news, you're not forced to read em :)
I noticed it a long time ago and I still wonder why lol
MGS cutscenes use the ingame engine so it doesn't eat that much space. CGI do.
And AFAIK he never said that he wanted 50GB BRD for his game, he just said that a 20GB can be filled fast enough. I think he was just answering a question about new storage media.
The 3D models look like a bad PS2 game, that's true.
BUT
This is not the point.
The point is that, first, it's a technological performance. A program that can fully model in 3D from a single photo, that's pretty neat. And scond, you have to think about the applications it could have for video games.
I was just joking, c'mon, don't be so upset guys lol
The 360 is a failure. They're being outsold be a 6 year old console, and a redesigned gamecube.
They barely sell in Japan, despite having titles like Lost Planet and Blue Dragon.
And with their last gen, they did really bad.
^.^
Kotaku caught saying crap again ?
The stuff they quoted wasn't at all an answer to the PS3 sells question.
Here's the TRUE interview
Game Informer: So, how do you feel coming out of the holidays?
Peter Dille: Well, obviously great. Our big announcement today was getting to a million units sold. It’s a great accomplishment, and it’s something that we are very proud of. As I pointed out, we got there faster on PS3 than we did with PlayStation ...
DMC4 looks pretty nice, but i haven't seen anything really impressive in the gameplay trailers.
Heavenly Sword is much more impressive IMO.
AFAIK they always said KZ2 would be released late 07
"Every Sunday in the paper, there’s a new deal with a free controller or a free game or $100 off all discounting the 360. I don’t think you take those measures if you’re selling as expected"
Lol, very nice point haha
That's very different. I was just talking about this example because you said "allow one of their properties to be used for a 360 game"
They somewhat co developped Colin after all, so they could have refuse a 360 port.
But yeah, this GB story is a whole different story. Even if it would earn them money, i doubt they'd allow a 360 version only.
