you can very well order pre-build gaming PCs ... and settings ain't that complicated as it made to be (presets like high, medium and low have existed for quite a while and similar preset switching is been done in PS5 games i.e like perf mode & fidelity mode)
so if someone can't wrap around a few more parameters ... who's dumb then?

Most people have/had a PC/Mac ... people are accustomed to good'ol windows ... nothing much changed here. Only some components in the gaming PC would be a bit more powerful than a normal PC.
And you'll have to install games like any other software in a normal PC. And clients like Steam and Epic mostly does that work for the user seamlessly.

Offline modes for Division games would be soo good.
I have a friend who's excited but still yet to play the division games, due to work life ... he worries maybe one day Ubi'll stop the live service before he could jump back in
Finals has way more charisma than Concord
The Finals is averaging same player count as Helldivers II on Steam. And higher than BF2042.

To answer, console space is usually not the space for enthusiast products ... its assumed that any products releasing is for the +/- average consumers.
Any change in the same space will obviously raise questions.
When iPhone X was announced for 999, it raised question even though Vertu phones existed for a long time.
RTX Titan raised question even though Asus Ares existed.
PS5 Pro is not viewed as a luxury product ... but rather a midway point between PS5 ...

But if you watch most of their content, you'll know they have whole range of PC specs/setups from entry level to top and even builds that has near CPU+GPU combo as the PS5 & Xbox.
An in their PC port coverages, Alex always concludes with recommended settings for average PC gamers...

Pretty curious, taking into account that base hardware is rumoured to be as powerful as PS4 and then on top, the devs'll have access to DLSS for even more headroom.
If they can pull of Tears of the Kingdom on a Switch ... then dayyuumm, can't wait to see later what the first-party devs can do with PS4 + DLSS power.
We're still seeing newly announced cross-gen games at gamescom. Jedi Survivor is still getting an Xbox One ...
