I know I am gonna get alot of disgree's and flames from the xbox fanboys, but after reading most of these reviews it just seems alot of reviewers are giving near perfect to perfect scores due to the hype. ITs starting to feel like a halo 1, 2 hype all over again.
Im sorry but how can you get a near perfect score, when even the reviewers themselves state that 1) graphics are not all that 2) AI is not that great 3) campaign Is short and not the most inspiring thing.

The graphics of halo 3 are not stellar
Many xbox fanboys hyped it so much thinking these graphics kick ass even before the reviews.

Ive been through the hype of golden eye, halo 1, and halo 2.
they were all overhyped imo.
Im gonna judge halo 3 this weekend, a friend of mine who is a huge xbox fanboy will be bring 4 controllers. But from the sounds of the review's im am not getting much info other than IT IS AWESOme yet there are no details. It just seems from the details I've gathered its going to be halo 1/2 all over again.

Graphics play a great roll in gaming, if graphics dont matter Ill still be playing my sprite games.
Its the natural progression of gaming. IMO you need good graphics coupled with gameplay to add to the full experience to gaming.

I've been saying this for the longest time.
Although halo 3 is an upgrade from halo2 it does not look awesome or next gen. Yet ppl still disagreed with me, and Im pretty sure they will disagree again.
For ppl living in Canada, go to your local futureshop and they show a video of halo 3. Uninspiring graphically.
So far no other game on xbox comes close to the graphics of gears on the xbox.

Since xbox does not have more capacity i.e. hd-dvd or blu-ray , it doesnt meen it is not needed
The point of blu-ray is to give flexiblity and potential to put better content in the game. alot of you fanboys like your self quickly bring up the point that more space = longer gameplay. In some cases yes i.e. games like unreal tournament having all the maps on one disc. But im quite sure developers are more concerned about making a game LO...

Heavenly sword is a very good platform game
UT 3 is coming out , so its gonna be exceptional multiplayer gaming

All we need is an RTS (mouse and kb support) game on ps3 and ill be happy

Now going back to halo, i've been to the futureshop a few times and they were showing a video (low res though) on in game graphics and gameplay, if those are the graphics they are pretty behind gears of war.
the system has been out for ~9 months and they have reached 5.5 million.
6 months to double their user base.
christmas will help with their software actually starting to come out, furthermore pushing the blu-ray tech.
Plus the system in Europe has only been out for 5 months, and t here is a rumured price drop.
Except it will not have the emotion chip.
11.6 million is not so bad for a 2 year old system.
But watch out for ps3,its is already at ~5.5 million sold which is not bad either for a 10 month old system.
The reason why I say this is because im pretty sure there is a small handful of indviduals who bought a 2nd xbox due to failure rates or just because they wanted ot upgrade to the elite. Meaning the 11.6 million sold are not really 11 million separate households. I hear much more often ppl buying mult...
I have yet to play halo 3 like everyone else but NO game deesrves a near perfect score especially when it is from the over saturated FPS genre. Had this been a PC game only you will seem the scores drop from~10 to about 8ish.. Which is still good
sorry to say this but halo 3 sounds like the same as other halos (which is a generic shooter) which dont deserve these super high scores.
We will in the next few weeks.
