Fire Emblem Awakening is my portable game of the year. Zelda ALBW and Animal Crossing New Leaf a close second. My fav Wii U game of the year is (contoversially) Splintercell Blacklist. Though im loving the vastly under-rated Wonderful 101.

Mario Bros U sold well enough with 'sub par visuals'; the o.s. loading times were never a huge issue for early adopters (drought of games was our biggest gripe); rayman legends delay was a huge mistake by UBISOFT, not nintendo. Put simply, call of duty would have to 'change dimension' (4d??) to even be considered as innovative as mario has been over the years. Nintendo constantly attempt to add new innovation ideas to mario (some quantum leaps in game design, some minor tweaks), while activisions first directive to infinity ward/treyarch is definitely not pleas for innovation. The only thing im a little frustrated with is that Mario Kart 8 slipped to next year, you know? The double whammy of 3d World and Kart 8 would REALLY have pushed hardware sales without any doubt, as it did with the 3ds and Mario 3d Land/Mario Kart 7.
