lol I don't know some people with disagree with anything. I've learnt to just accept it as a part of N4G.
Anyway, I've been waiting for the 4players beta giveaway if it even happens. Apparently the keys will be given out sometime this week between 23:00 and 06:00 German time.
If anyone's interested here's a link:
http://store.4players.de/2....
'European and North American PlayStation 3 owners can claim their PSN redeem code on the official website for BF:BC2.'
Makes it sound like it'll get you a beta code. It's actually just a chance to get a beta code.
edit: This is part of the message after you sign up for the beta:
'This does not guarantee you beta access. If you are selected for the beta you will recieve an email with your beta key.'
Dedicated servers is a big thing on the PC. It's like Turn 10 removing customisation from Forza that allows you to make your vehicle look however you want it to. If Turn 10 ever did that I bet it would get a much worse score.
I think he means the '4players store' button on the menu at the top
edit: it says 'On 19 November starts the beta phase of Battlefield: Bad Company on PlayStation 2 3 Exclusive to 4Players-Store, we will offer whopping 10,000 keys. For more information soon.'
I'm guessing they don't have the keys just yet.
I can't do step 4 on your list since the bad company 2 beta section on the page doesn't have a link to anything.
Maybe I'm missing something.
That's a shame.
Best thing to do is keep your eye on the pending articles.
Any chance someone could get me one? Pretty please?... :D
PC version looks too crisp?
You do realise it's running at a higher resolution right?
The smoothed out slightly faded look of the PS3 is what makes it look worse than the 360 version which is a bad thing but you compare it to the PC and all of a sudden it's a good thing?
edit: the PC version was running at a lower res?
I'm not too keen on these comparisons since you can't properly compare the two without knowing what effects are running on PC.
'none of those changes made it look any better'.
The scale of this game makes it difficult to have amazing graphics. The fact that they manage to have it looking the way it does with 256 players is pretty impressive as it is.
Compare that to MW2 with it's 9v9 multiplayer or any other online shooter like a Battlefield game which supports up to 32v32.
Plenty of people seem to love MAG so I won't know until I've played it for myself.
I think if anyone wants to tell others its amazing or that it sucks they should also state why they think so. Loco85, it would be nice to read about your experiences with the game rather than a simple 'game just plain sucks'.
Correction:
VGChartz is bullshit.
That's more than I was expecting. I thought it would be £27.
I might go into my local store and check it out tonight.
Asda will have it for about £27 on release.
I've said that a few times now lol.
FPS games are alive and well on the PC. I wouldn't call that a niche genre. Then there are RTS games and RPGs which are genres that have plenty of people playing them. Are they niche genres?
The only reason they're saying it's still on the table is because of all the bad press about it and all the people who are upset.
If everyone had taken the news the way Activision wanted this stated would never have come out.
I agree with you but I think Panda's right. K2 is 16v16.
Yeh that's definitely odd.
I'd have thought all established developers would be using workstation GPUs.
Yeh that's probably the best thing to do but I try to save myself the hassle wherever I can.
Early reviews for Play TV weren't all that great.
Does anyone know of a recent review? I'm slowly gaining interest in it.
I don't have a problem with the way this guy looks. Darker skin would be nice but Persians were apparently pretty light skinned.
