Battlefield 3 doesn't support XP so I'm guessing it's one of the first to drop DX9 and hopefully more will follow the same path.

As long as I can play as a thief sneaking through the shadows, criting people with my arrows and stealing whatever I want I'm happy.
I noticed that too. Not the kind of mistake you'd expect from Alpha-Male22. Still, I agree with him that the Elder Scrolls universe is pretty amazing.
Yeh I didn't mention Mass Effect because it's now more of a shooter with RPG elements rather than a shooter/RPG.
I don't think it's a completely knew engine though. I remember some text in one of the scans saying something about a 'redesigned engine' which is probably why it still looks somewhat like Oblivion but with higher res textures, better lighting etc.
This and The Witcher 2. What more could an RPG guy want?
Games on PC tend to be cheaper so if anything, your pockets would have smaller holes.
I'm just going to get the normal one. Far too many great games releasing this year. The only collector's edition I'm getting this year is probably The Witcher 2.
Better graphics does not a great exclusive make. It's just one of those things people expect from exclusives.
edit: teething is right. MS is going in the right direction when it comes to making money and I'm expecting them to make crap loads from it too.
You seem to have forgotten all the comparisons 360 fans and PS3 fans have been making about the consoles exclusives over the past few years. The 360 fans wouldn't have been making these comparisons if they didn't care. They don't have much to shout about now and would look silly to admit they don't have many exclusives so they're doing the smart thing and keeping quiet. (a generalisation BTW)
If UC3 and CoD were all PS3 fans had to look forward to this yea...
Yeh lol I just replayed that bit and realised what he was on about. There are some floating chairs just before you get to Joker and it is pretty cool the first time you enter that area. I had it spoiled by one of the trailers before the game released.
There are more cool bits to the game like the wreckage hanging off a cliff edge that you have to navigate through as it sways. That was really cool but missed it on my last play through.
I played it on PC and it still doesn't compare to UC2. The only thing it has over UC2 on PC is the higher image resolution but an amazing game either way. I'd love to see UC2 running at 1080p.
BTW, what floating chair area? Is there content in the PS3 version that's not in the others? I guess I'll have to download the demo and check it out since I really don't remember a floating chair area.
I'm playing through ME2 again and it's just as great as the first time.
I just wish there was more you could do with your resources. You're stuck with what you can get off planets. Would be nice if you could buy and sell resources as you see fit like you could in Freelancer. That way you could sell your huge stockpiles of Palladium for some extremely hard to find Element Zero.
I've been having trouble logging into characters as it hangs on the loading screen with a full load bar. I can only get in after repeatedly logging in which is a real pain and only occured right after Cataclysm went live.
Just bought it along with Supreme Commander 2. Well worth it.
@ nix, while PS3 exclusives are usually superior to most multiplats it's not right to say it as though all PS3 exclusives are better than all multiplats. There are a few PS3 exclusives which aren't that great and not as good as some multiplats.
Being exclusive doesn't automatically make a game great. Some of the best games ever are multiplat games and I can honestly say that some of the PS3's exclusives will have a tough time topping Mass Effect 2.
It's a list of PS3 games which means a game that's on the PS3. That includes multiplats. If it was a list of PS3 exclusives then you'd have a valid point but that's not what this is.
Also, you couldn't call it a list of best multiplats since it includes exclusives. Nothing wrong with the title IMO since it's correct. If people get the wrong impression that's because they've misunderstood it.
Black Ops is definitely not a game that's worth the price let alone more even on the 360. I can't see how they could leave out amazing games that had loads of content such as RDR and the most obvious one being Peace Walker which cost much less than a home console game yet had rediculous amounts of content.
Or he loves them so much he's still playing them.
I agree, Burnout is much better than Hot Pursuit.
edit: Most annoying thing for me in Hot Pursuit is the silly unlock reveals. Sometimes it's as bad as 3 or 4 of those reveals one after another when I just want to get onto the next race.
