I see, so that's how it is. It's good they got round to doing that then. I can imagine how annoying it would be to have to set those options if you're a hardcore sim guy.
I think PC gamers would welcome it as then we'd be getting games that can actually push our hardware but TBH I'd be surprised if it's announced this year.
Not to trample on your parade but a ' new no-assist expert mode'? Shouldn't that be included as standard in a sim racer? It's great they're adding such a thing but I'd question as to why it wasn't there from the start.
No game lets you touch anything other than the controller and maybe the TV if you really wanted to.
If you have a touch screen monitor you could play an RTS or flash based game but Forza? Definitely not.
This is amazing. There are parts in the video that look like actual video footage.
I was under the impression it was cancelled too. I'd be really interested to see what progress has been made if any.
edit: Wasn't the trailer basically a target render in CGI?
Sounds great. Shame about the alien AI but I'm really looking forward to the DX11 patch for all the fancy effects.
Crytek have hit PC gamers a bit below the belt but it seems a lot of us are happy to buy it anyway. I'm still finding it hard to understand how they could leave out advanced graphical settings.
I agree, the art style makes a huge difference. Just because a game looks prettier doesn't mean it has more techy stuff going on in the background.
Crysis 2 and K3 both have a lot going on in the background and up front visually but Crysis is the prettier game.
Didn't they design CryEngine 3 to make it easy to develop on all 3 platforms? One of it's big features is that you can develop a game for all 3 platforms at once.

Mixing two different games can work but in this case there really is nothing revolutionary. It's a really well put together game from what reviews have said so far and you could say it's an amazing game but revolutionary doesn't come into it.
Exactly. The nano suit is probably the biggest feature when it comes to gameplay and it's supposed to be something that helps you survive things that people normally wouldn't. If you could kill people with a few bullets then you might as well not have the suit.
People tend to cry about it taking a lot of bullets to kill someone but they never catch on to the fact that if it takes more to kill others then it will also take more for them to kill you. As long as the game...
If he was using a 360 controller on PC he'd be getting raped.
That's a hell of a lot to read. They could've broken it up a bit more with some images at least.
That's one angry gamer. I'm glad I'm not him because I wouldn't be enjoying my games.
You do realise they need to make money from somewhere. Just like the games on facebook.
In the US "period" is their way of saying "full stop" which as you know is the character used to end a sentance. So by saying "period" they mean that what they've just said is the last word in whatever conversation they're having and no-one can say otherwise. Basically a way of underlining your words.
Hopefully that'll make sense.
Yeh it's a really big deal. There's also the Tsunamis to worry about too as if the earthquake wasn't bad enough on it's own.
Large earthquakes are usually followed by after-shocks. I was kind of expecting to get minor movements here in europe since the shock waves usually travel through the earths core and bounce around.
edit: info if anyone is interested. This earthquake measure at 8.9 on the richter scale. The great quake of San Francisco 1906 is estimiated to have been around 8.25.
It was the same for the previous Uncharted games. People should know this by now.
Of all the different types of digital entertainment I like games the best because they combine sound, visuals and interaction. I therefore define games as being interactive digital entertainment and as such Heavy Rain easily falls into that catagory.
