Agreed. They try to pass it off as though they have nothing to do with the decline.
The fact that fewer games now come with modding tools is a big reason for the decline of modding. The devs are partly to blame IMO since it's pretty obvious people love to create things in games and if you take away the tools then you're obviously going to get fewer mods.
That's good but I hope it's a proper sequal this time instead of a remake. Plus I wasn't too keen a lot of the enemies. Quite a few looked like they were from a zombie game and I want to be shooting demons.
edit: Also, I'd love for a new Quake Arena multiplayer game.
Sorry the age comment wasn't directed at you. I was just saying that Jack is wrong about older people not wanting to play on 'Gameboys'.
@ kaveti6616, that's one way to see the settlement. You could also ask about why Hotz agreed to the settlement. Maybe he knew he couldn't win? Either way it's over and that's that.
I don't like any of these people bragging the way they do and think they should just keep their mouths shut unless they have something worthwhile to say.
I agree with you but I think DVD isn't the deciding factor in how long the 360 lasts. It's the release of great games. As long as it has great games being releases regularly it will stay in peoples homes.
Also, I have to say as a 25 year old I have absolutely no problem playing games on my DSi.
Reports of a bigger active base? Where have you seen this? I'm interested in checking it out.
Yep, that would be even better but that's asking for quite a lot of time put in on the devs part.
For multi-player it would be great if they had all the main characters from all 3 games to play as along with customisation options. I'm not too keen on running around looking exactly like every other player on the map.
Doesn't look like it but I hope it does.
These facial animations are simply amazing. Every time I see them I can't help but be amazed.
Anyone know if they changed the 3rd person camera for the cars with any of the updates? I found the camera really annoying and had to drive in other views leaving me unable to appreciate the look of the cars.
I wanted to play it on PC but I simply couldn't help it. The trailers looked so damn good and the reviews were great. I simply had to take the plunge. Even with the lower res and poorer quality visuals it was still one of the best gaming experiences I've had so far.
I was really hoping to get some good exclusive announcements last year. Every time there was a gaming event like E3 or TGS people were waiting for MS to announce some new core exclusives but it didn't happen. A shame really as I was looking for a good reason to buy a 360S. I don't want to buy it for the few games I want to play like Alan Wake and Gears.
@ palaeomerus, you do realise that the definition of AAA has changed this gen don't you? It doesn't quite mean what it used to since people use it simply for hype now as is the case with 'exclusive'. How many games have we had this year that were 'exclusive' and still found on another platform?
There are plenty of gamers who own both systems and IMO the reason why multiplats sell more on 360 is because of this reason. The 360 is better for socialising while gaming largely due to it's cross game chat. It would therefore make sense to get the 360 version of a game as the PS3 versions hardly ever have some sort of an advantage.
Then there's the fact that there are around 10 million more 360s in the US than PS3s. The PS3 advantage in the Far East isn't doesn...
I'm guessing he hasn't been playing for long. One of the new generation of gamers who haven't experienced the first 3 MK games.
edit: I can understand why he'd say it though since a lot of the MK games haven't been good. This one seems to be returning to it's roots and therefore should be great.
I'm buying this day one if true. I played the game on PS3 and absolutely loved it but the lower quality of the visuals was quite obvious IMO. I'd love to play it in hi res.
The people I remember playing Premiership Manager weren't really geeks but footy fanatics who loved everything about the sport.
Thinking about it now you could say that such games are actually RPGs. They have pretty much everything you'd expect to find in an RPG (management, progression, rewards etc.).
