Would have loved to get this on PC. I've been planning on getting this one so I can replay the game and also play Undead Nightmare.
The AI in Deus Ex seem to work with a very simple field of view. When I'm spotted at a door the enemy will come and stand in the doorframe with the door open sticking his head through into the room im in and still not see me even though I'm in direct view of his head near the wall.
That's about the only time that the AI seems to be dumb and that's on normal difficulty while I'm playing stealthy. If you play it like a normal FPS that you're not likely ...
Just picked up the digital deluxe version for £10. Bargain.
I thought the same as Json. Crysis is known mainly for it's technical achievements more than anything else.
From the trailers I thought DE:HR was going to be really great graphically but it's actually not as great as I thought. Technically the graphics are good but not great. However, the game as a whole is stellar either way and I'm loving playing it stealthy. It's pretty much how I would expect a Metal Gear Solid RPG to be.
The security check does have an option for you to reset your pincode if you've forgotten it. I've rest mine countless times since I always forget it to the point that new pincodes I try to set aren't accepted since I've used them before.
They're keeping the game from becoming outdated. They're being somewhat clever about it too since they're basically allowing other devs and addon creators to come up with new ideas and the ones that work well they copy and add into their own game.
As far as I know you'll need to have the items you want to make ur gear look like so I'm going to start farming some lower level stuff to try and get what I want my gear to look like. Would be awesome if I could ...
R3 beta is already on the EU PS+ section.
Controls usually not an issue. This kind of game will likely be best played with a controller even on PC. The only thing putting me off getting it on console is the lower resolution but there are going to be more people playing it online and for a longer period of time too whereas the online community on PC will likely die out quite quickly.
I'm thinking of getting it on console and then picking up the one on Steam when it's on offer.
That doesn't look like artwork to me. All the assets in the images are obviously made up of polygonal models. Just looking at the arches you can see they're modelled in 3D. They're in-game screenshots as far as I can tell.
Looking forward to playing this. Was thinking of getting it on PC but if it has good MP I'll probably want to play it on console where I'm likely to find more people online.
What fluidmint said. It's also very addictive. I'd recommend you try out Trackmania since it's free and will give you a good idea as to how it plays.
I really love the real world setting which makes the rediculous track layouts completely mindboggling.
I don't think they'd pass up the chance of having it on XBLA by just saying it's too big for it. However, it does make me wonder as to how much they'll be putting into the game. I'm hoping Torchlight 2 will be bigger and better in every way.
No health regen. I'm a lot more interested in this game now.
Yep, would love to play this on PC. Imagine how good it could look with a few mods.
This is interesting. It means players can sell their goods for money. Seems like a way to combat gold farmers IMO.
Awesome. That was totally unexpected and made me LOL.
Working for me.
edit: Yeah does seem to be a bit slow.
I played Crysis2 on PC and I had issues taking them on on hard difficulty having to stealth my way through each level until it got really difficult and decided to play it on normal. Maybe it's console version that had really dumb AI?
I have to admit I did see them get stuck like you mentioned but it wasn't a normal occurence.
Higher numbers of AI does not mean it's better AI. Usually when you add more and more AI characters you end up having to sacrofice some AI complexity.
What people are talking about is the complexity of the AI and how life-like it behaves.
I know exactly what you mean. There are very few games that I've played repeatedly which is why after having completed RDR I sold it and decided to wait for the GOTY or possibly PC version before playing it again.
