No doubt about that.
Sony's marketing is really bad.
We need another zone for fanboys ("War Zone" maybe lol) so they can get off the gamer zone. I'm getting kinda tired of reading through nonsense to get to any decent comments.
edit: anyone notice how 1.5 keeps banging on about quality and trying to prove it even though the only thing hes managed to compare is quantity?
He does talk abouot multiplat quality which but seems to make...
not played it myself but from the sounds of it, seems you'd be one of the few who aren't keen on it.
Why would someone use that word like that if he wasn't some kind of nutjob fanboy?
edit: from askoxford.com
'miracle
• noun 1 an extraordinary and welcome event attributed to a divine agency. 2 a remarkable and very welcome occurrence. 3 an outstanding example, specimen, or achievement.
— ORIGIN Latin miraculum ‘object of wonder’.'
hmmm, I sounds interesting.
I think I'll look into it.
Is it any good?
I think that's the way it's meant to work with these numbers so everyone expects it to be that way.
edit: tried to google for info on the numbering system in incremental patching but can't seem to find anything. I did find a webpage about the methods of incremental patching though. So for those interest, here it is:

Truth is, Halo fans want more Halo and will buy pretty much anything with the Halo name on it.
MS are giving their customers what they want and making a hell of a lot of money out of it. MS has always been about the money as all businesses are but MS more so than most it seems.
It would be nice to see MS pushing for new and interesting IPs like Sony.
apart from the 'power of the PC far outstrips anything consoles can come up with' part.
A new generation of consoles will outstrip the vast majority of PCs for a while after their initial release as was the case with the PS3 and 360 but as we all know, it doesn't last does it?
lol
Can't fault what either of you have said
yeh they certainly are and for good reason too.
who here wouldn't be protective of it if they had created it?
thats the main problem I have about a new sequal.
Hopefully it will be an amazing game but I see no reason why EA shouldn't seek his help. Surely it has more chance of being great with it's creator helping out.
lol nice :P
from what I've read about it the reasoning seems to be that being a PS3 exclusive will get the new IP noticed with all the extra hype and everything.
I'm thinking that if/when it becomes a hit after release they'll probably keep it PS3 exclusive but the sequals will be multi-platform generating a huge amount of sales and revenue just like GTA does now.
edit: while that's what I think will happen, I wouldn't be surprised if they do port it to PC/X360 like they have w...
fair enough.
MMORPGs aren't really quite the same as RPGs.
With JRPGs being heavy on the story side of things I can kind of see how an MMOJRPGs story won't be quite as engaging which is about the only problem I might have with FFXIV.
so your not a fan of mmo games?
It'll still be an RPG only difference being it's catered towards massive multiplayer.
I can understand why you'd lose interest because of that and that's fine but I think we all need to wait and see how the game develops. You never know, it could turn out to be an amazing game even for you
edit: yeh I know what you mean about the PS3 comment.
edit2: just took a look at that trailer and it really doesn't look ...
'I was interested in this game cuz I thought it'd be a ps3 exclusive. My excitement faded when i saw it was multiplatform.'
really?
i wonder if you would have said the same for FFXIV
I'm not too fussed whether or not the PS3 is lead platform. What matters to me is how the end product turns out on the platform I buy it for.
Has there ever been a Bioware game that wasn't great?
It's such a shame that it's been assimilated
the arcade IMO is there just so consumers would think the X360 is much cheaper than the PS3 not realising they would end up buying a bunch of extras in the long run.
it's simply so they think "hmm, X360 is only £127.19 compared to the PS3s £293.59 price tag (Argos.co.uk prices).
i'd be willing to bet that it's actually helping to generate revenue for them since the customers buying an arcade will end up buying the overpriced HDDs and other parts.
...
Afterall, is it not the current generation of Nintendo console?
