I know what you mean but I'm sure the game will impress.
I'm not worried about the action since I'll mostly be hidded anyway lol. The dev dude did say they didn't want to do what they did in previous games where it's game over if you're spotted. For me the extra action is a way to get out of that sticky little situation where I get spotted.
edit: I think they're just giving players another way of getting through missions which I'll admit does broaden the target audie...
I think the graphics are pretty good but definitely not amazing like so many are making them out to be.
Either way though, the gameplay should be top notch from the looks of it.
@i did not murder him. A game looking impressive isn't the same as saying the graphics look impressive. You can't prove the graphics are impressive by saying so and so said the game looks impressive (since that's talking about the game as a whole).
edit: the little details in thi...
yeh it is but I'm not a fan of the silhouettes tbh. As a fan of stealth games I'd prefer if it was an optional feature so I could turn it off.
If I jump out of a window I already know where I was last seen but I think it comes in more useful in areas where it's not so easy to tell where a you were last seen by the enemy. That's what they should have shown in the vid instead of the window gameplay.
Also, don't you think the mark and shoot kinda takes the challenge out...
You don't seem to have realised that raids are a challenge almost everyone can attempt.
Besides, as far as I can remember, games always reward work as well as fun and in a lot of cases, the work is part of the fun.
I remember a later article saying there will be no charge for using battle.net
edit: here ya go lad :)

lol yeh. good point
You have to realise this isn't just about you.
You may not play LAN games on SC but there are a crap load of people who still do.
Plus, LAN play is a feature that helped to make the original as popular as it was and still is.
Also, LAN play is a feature nearly all RTS fans would expect from such a game. Removing it seems like a step backwards IMO.

the fanboys are out of bubbles lol :)
sorry about the disagree. i could swear i hit agree.
there seems to be something wrong with the say it works. someitmes i hit agree/disagree and it counts it on the above comment instead

Won't that just make it less scary?
If I had unlimited flares I wouldn't need to worry about running out of them so I'd never need to worry about some nasty alien popping out of some dark area.
I hope it's unlimited on the easy mode and not on the harder ones.
'ITS THE BEST VIDEO GAME CONSOLE EVER MADE IN HUMAN HISTORY '
Sorry, wouldn't that be the PS2? As far as I can tell, the PS3 still has a way to go before it can live up to the legend of the PS2.
I still need to get a PS2. I need to make up for all the amazing gaming I've missed out on so if anyone would be kind enough to make me a list of the best PS2 games (I know it's down to individual taste but I'll try 'em anyway since they're so cheap now lol) I'd appreciate it...
Why?
Makes no sense to not want backwards compatibility.
I kinda agree with the RTS thing but IMO Halo is a great way to get people playing genres they would never touch. I'm not too keen on Halo but think of all the people who played Halo Wars and will now have an interest in RTS games.
While milking a franchise is usually a pretty easy way to make a quick buck I think MS could actually do some good for the gaming industry with it as well.
I like to give credit where it's due even if Halo Wars (in my eyes as a PC RTS fan)...
you make a good point.
you couldn't have simply pointed it out eh?
I think the 240FPS is to make people notice how rediculously powerful the computer must be
edit: forgot about the slow-motion effects. I'm not sure if this is true but having more than 60FPS might actually help with the quality of those effects in slow-motion.
edit2: lol just watched the vid. Should have watched it all first. It seems the vid was captured at 240FPS which allows you to slow down the frame rate in a video editing program to show off all the cool effec...
Some people just don't seem to understand good HCI (Human Computer Interaction).
Pick up a book about it or just google for info and you'll understand why the XMB is actually pretty good.
actually we don't know either way unless Rockstar explicitly stated it.
the assumptions just keep coming don't they?
here's one :)
