Yeah we're all guilty of it and it's hardly surprising. With the advancements in technology and games like Bioshock, Uncharted etc. people do expect modern games to look good.
It's a shame that we sometimes take it to the point that we care more for visuals than gameplay but thankfully most come to their senses before too long lol.
I got a PS3 instead of a 360 because I have a PC to play games on so I guess I would be one of the ones that would want to play it on PC :-)
edit: Gears1 was surprisingly good when I played it on PC. Didn't have much replay value for me though but I did enjoy the single player and Gears2 seems better so I hope it does end up on PC sometime.
anyone know if D3 will have randomly generated mobs like D2?
i doubt the dungeons will be
it's not that Live users are dumb enough to pay but that they don't have a choice if they want to play online. I'm sure that if there was a way to play online without Live plenty of people would do it.
I do see paying for WoW and Live as being different. As far as I know you can pay for Live and not get any extra "free" content whereas you can pay for WoW and keep getting content at no extra cost (content that you will most likely make use of).

I agree with Jinxstar though not sure about the FF14 thing though
I think it depends on the game and how devs use the tech.
There will undoubtably be games that will not require a controller at all (most likely smaller games on Live), games where you use a controller with parts that require interaction using Natal and also games which will only use a controller.
The controller is not going to disappear any time soon that's for sure.
I agree. I hope other 1st party devs do the same with their previous games.
True but I'd be willing to bet the other devs will definitely be checking it out to see how they made use of the PS3s architecture.
You never know what you can learn from something like that until you check it out for yourself.
I agree about the cost but capability does have something to do with it.
Afterall, a dev who is able to create good games on PS3 will more than likely sell more (therefore see a larger return) on the PS3 than someone who is incapable of creating a good game but still goes ahead with the project anyway.
Edit: Bioshock is a good example of why developers intending on releasing games on multiple platforms should do so simultaniously and not seperate them by a year. I kn...
you misquoted.
I think you meant 'I get my valve games on steam'.
Plus you're going on the assumption that he was trying to "diss" MS somehow even though as far as I can see, there's nothing in his comment that would suggest that.
He did make a statement about most PS3 owners in general not caring but then he went on to talk about himself.
Really?
That'd be the first bit of info I've heard about HL2:Ep3 in ages. If I remember right, didn't Valve say they'd be releasing an episode around every 18 months or so? (This was way back after the release of HL2 I think)
I'm hoping for it to come sooner rather than later. Been wanting to get my hands on the final episode since the I finished episode 2. Then maybe they can start on HL3 and the second Source engine (if they haven't already).

I'm actually looking forward to COD6 more than MAG since I know I'll enjoy COD whereas I won't know about MAG 'till I play it.
it really frazzled your PS3?
it's been pretty humid up here lately. Afraid to turn my PS3 on now
The game won't have cut scenes that last 90 minutes.
All the cutscenes combined will last 90 minutes. For a game as good as Uncharted that's perfectly reasonable IMO especially since their story telling, animations and voice acting are so good.
what he said has nothing to do with whether or not you've replied to him before lol
wow man, you really dug a hole for yourself
it seems Blizzard isn't being pushed by Activision to meet any deadlines which is good
or less of a loss.
If they start making money then great. Sony deserves to start making money on every PS3 they sell sooner rather than later.
I certainly hope it does take it to the next level.
Anyone know if they released any info on multiplayer?
i like the fact LFD content will work with LFD2. it'll save me buying LFD since I haven't yet.
