The problem with that, is the value of the time invested of people making it vs those that enjoy it.
The issue, is that companies don't make these games just for their health. If he enjoyed the game, then he should by all means make it known to the devs that he enjoyed it.
Just because economical wise he can't afford it doesn't mean they should do it for free.
Apply that same example you said to movies. If you don't have enoug...
"MS has some of the fewest bugs per 1000 number of lines of code of any company."
Someone didn't use Vista...
Or people with common gaming knowledge knows that this is no different.
That's not entirely an mmo either. You don't have a key lock that you have to enter in to play. You just buy a pass to play the online portion.
I can understand that people can be surprised, but some of the comments on here act like this is the first time it's ever happened, when the system has been around for a long time.
I always say people should do at least some sort of research to know what they're getting into when it comes to hobbies.
I'm not surprised that AU is screwed on all fronts when it comes to gaming.
Their politicians, their rating system holding back things, etc. It really sucks that they have to have one thing after another happen. =\
I can't believe people are shocked when MMOs on PC do this as a standard for YEARS, except it tied to the key.
I know this is harsh, but I really question if most people on this site are even gamers. Seriously, i'm REALLY questioning this, because I'm wondering if people are commenting just because the article says Sony, or lost the idea of common sense thinking.
I swear there has to be a bot on this site that just randomly disagree with people or something. :p
@RedDeadDestroyer
It's late on explaining the definition to him.
"The COD game being released this fall is being made by the makers of Dead Space 1. Sledgehammer is handling the single player campaign while Infinity Ward will bw handling the multi-player. I suspect that this COD will have the best single player campaign yet."
DS1 is horror third person. IW already was split heavily after MW2....
"You are not suffering anything. "
Actually we are. When a business sees that masses are willing to pay for something little for a lot, others follow suit. If the cost of them to make a profit is having it cost $5, they can make a bigger profit of $15.
It's apparent with the history of video games of all things.
Capitalism has the bad as well, which you should also know of when you keep bringing it up. There's a thing called...
You need food to live, you don't need maps.
"Sure maps used to be free, but PEOPLE DON'T CARE. So leave them alone...."
Except that the rest suffer for their choices. Other companies in the industry always follows suit that makes them money.
You've never been to fighting tournaments have you? They're far from basement dwellers.
"Just keep blaming the parents and it will all be ok. We sell our violent games to kids and they get the blame, perfect plan."
Ace your statement is completely blown out of the water considering states make it a felony to sell M rated games to children without supervision.
Kids don't have that many jobs now a days where they can pay for $60 games. Who do they go to? Their parents. That's why I stay at least 1% on top of what my kids do, by ...
@sprayNpray
Wow really? You compared removal of OtherOS to serious incidents?
@Godmars290
The only issue i had with LO was the loading times later in the game.
That was about it. UE3 uses pop-in loading, which is intentional, so that it doesn't gravitate all at once of the data.
In terms of split screen there's a few, but usually it's games that use the same screen and such.
It'll also mess up any previous data that accessed that area. You'd cause more issues restoring it.
The companies that already use OtherOS, we have that situated. The part isn't targeted for public use.
If you go right up to a gamer on the streets and ask them about Call of Duty, then ask them about Other OS, they'll talk more about the first, and then ask what the hell about the second.
Compensation for a feature that I can guarantee that ~80% of the public didn't even use, let alone probably 1/2 of them didn't even KNOW, then you got some weird issues on your mind.
Plus explain how you gonna re-enable that feature on slims that are sold today?
"And this is why pc gaming is dying. "
It's far far from dying. GoG and Steam have something to say against that.
