@gamingdroid
Yea. A friend of mine invited me to UFC140 and that went extremely well. This one, it just seems botched due to technical difficulties.
But yea, at least they are making it up by going with another free event.
"Dedicated handhelds have their place, but they will evolve or get left behind. "
Handheld gaming has been around for 30 years....
And people suddenly think it'll crap out within 1?
The video game industry recovered from a crash, and is stronger than ever. What makes people think these companies are just going to drop off the Earth from theory concepts?
People already kept saying mobiles will kill handhelds for...
@DeathAvengers
It was UFC 141 that crapped out. It became a sinking ship unfortunately.
"Translation - this title is not selling well at all and is already destined for the bargain bin. "
Yea cause games like Deus Ex went into the bargin bin after an early price reduction.....
Um...Anon has nothing to do with this move.
If they did, then explain why Nintendo and EA backed off, NOR for the fact that Anon ONLY threatened Sony?
They backed out because of how horribly vague the bill is, and the fact that even they can be victims to it.
@morganfell
Well the thing is, I don't attribute it to fanboyism.
I just think it's pure hate regardless of what one posts. :p
@SilentNegotiator
How does that pertain to what I said?
@hellvaguy
The word today is "exaggeration".
They're not disagreeing with the facts, they're disagreeing with how you stated it.
"3DS simply has a bigger catalogue of worthwhile exclusives at the moment, especially for the Japanese market, and the lower price is definitely a turn on for those who game primarily on consoles and secondarily on handhelds. "
Heh I said the same thing about the price part yesterday.
http://n4g.com/comments/red...
"The point is that in the height of the Christmas Shopping Period most people bought the 3DS, not the hot system, the Vita. "
That still classifies into what I stated. $170USD is much more appeasing than $250-300.
You see people on here stating they want a Vita, but not at the launch price point.
Christmas time is when people buy out many things. And given with the economical times we are at, again $170 is easier to manage than $250...
"The 3ds sold over 500k in 1 week in december."
Maybe cause...psh...I dunno..Monster Hunter helped with that.
And yes, comparing a system that's at $170USD to a $250-300USD of a regular week vs launch would bring a palm to the face by logical standards.
There's no consistency in that at all.
I mean the person below made more sense with the opening launch week numbers.
You know what. It's pointless to even remotely point the FIFA issue out here, considering people have way to much of a bias to even care, UNTIL it happens.
The facepalming situation, is that someone actually PM'd after the previous comment, trying to say that it's fake.
"Right, something about FIFA?"
Are people seriously on this site still oblivious to this one?
You better not be joking cause there's been some serious crap about this as of late.
The fifa one is when the person recovers the account through EA's database by illicit means, by using specific html coding, and then using that same information to log into a person's account and then change the information, then uses it to purc...
Dunno why people were going with the disagrees. It makes sense.
Problem being though is that Activision caused another issue which is DLC pricing.
"Heck BF3 got the super PS3 treatment, not because the Xbox 360 wasn't able to do it. It was simply held back, because EA preferred PS3/PSN and they cut a deal. "
They cut the deal, because it was a last minute situation cause they backed out originally of giving 1943. People were expecting a game, not the 1 week business.
And the thing is a month given with a FPS? That's an extremely long time to add various content that splits up the user...
"WoW NEVER this this when I started. I just popped in my code and done. I did not need to put in my card details or anything. "
Yes...it did...It did this on the vanilla launch.
"Used to be a standard, but no more. Wanna play 30 days, play your included 30 days of game, and THEN add a payment option if you want to continue. "
I'm sorry...but THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE EVERQUEST 1. This is done on nearly everything. Netflix? You need a card to set up your free trial. Gamefly? Same thing. MMos to play the 30 days? SAME THING! DAOC, EVE, WoW, EQ, etc.
I really needed to point that out so much, because I'm power-facepalmin...
@ZippyZapper
A Month's wait for DLC vs a Week's worth, and originally PS3 owners didn't even have that till it was announced just at launch. The week early on PS3 was announced as an afterthought, because originally they were giving 1943 away(in which they did AFTER people threw a lawsuit at them for false advertising).
This isn't people paying for Live vs PSN, this is a SEPARATE service that Activision is doing, and yet still has the DLC lock...
Really getting sick and tired of people ONLY on this site just attributing any situation to "oh it's just stupidity on the victim's part", when anything is related to Live.
