"what if you already own said games then you get nothing in the end while everyone else gets something
if that was the case i can understand someone complaining about it"
You mean like me?
We're still getting SOMETHING REGARDLESS if you have the games or not.
Just do what I'm doing. Sell the disc copies and just keep the HDD ones.
Also people are going about "Why not give credit to accounts?&quo...
"couldn't they just buy new in a year or two. that's what I do and it's cheaper than buying a pre-owned game soon after its release."
No it isn't. There are games that are STILL at the high price tag 4+ years after it's out.
One example? Perfect Dark Zero. $20 on Games on Demand, or $2 used.
You decide.
Plus it's getting harder for devs to justify the $60 tag with the way things are now a day...
"In the eyes of most consumers, there is no game that is too good to trade in."
Demon's Souls man. I barely seen used trade ins on that game, and the only time people did, was that they felt it was too difficult.
I was thinking the same about that too codeman.
The whole 3 month timecard is a rip off on it's own.
If you were to get 4 3-month cards, that equates out to $100, vs buying a 12-month +1 card for $60. >_>
It's like this for MMOs also, where it's cheaper overall to buy the big package, but consdering how it is, you might as well just go ahead and get a year if you're going to get 3 month one.
Also if a...
@Vojkan
Bottom line: You're complaining for the sake of complaining....
You want them to wipe your butt everyday to make you satisfied?
I mean my goodness, it's a free service that people apparently expect $1000s worth out of.
Am I saying they shouldn't do anything at all? No, but it really shows how spoiled people are to this day and age.
These companies aren't your "friend" or your...
"Wow - is Brink really that bad"
It's not. It needs improvements, but it's not as horrific as people want it to be. There were more issues in bugs with Fallout New Vegas than it was with this game.
Regardless, this shows that Valve's on top of how their system works. Not many people would think that one could return a digital distributed game so easily.
My response:

"How does that work, releasing 2 home consoles in a single generation?"
Easy, it's called not caring about major upgrading.
I like how there was an article earlier questioning the basis behind kotaku articles and gets taken down, but THIS stays up?
"Kotaku ran a story on May 1st, by Luke Plunkett"
"Kotaku ran a story.....by Luke Plunkett"
"by Luke Plunkett"
Well there's one of your major problems right there.
I like how people didn't even read the article, and think that all those games are $60 a piece, when over 1/2 of that list isn't even over $20 now when purchasing.
It's IGN. You expected professional statements? :p
"Ummm...wouldn't hackers want to keep Sony around so they have an extra system to hack and exploit for free games? "
The network just went down from an attack.....You really think they care about what happens to the companies? It's just like the psychology of a spoiled child.
If they can't get what they want, then no one can.
I like how there's rampant disagrees on something that's factually shown. >_>
Either that or people LOVE to misinterpret and not read, considering I stated that #1 was far worse in the idea than the PSN hack.
@cgoodno
All i got to say, was gaming was better in the 90s than it is now. It's all about "Got to have MP", "Got to have flashy effects", "Got to have high CGI Marketing"
"Sure, there are "niche" games and there are games that people just seem to always buy up the most, but don't complain that they're selling better than you when you haven't worked to even chip away at their foothold by making a g...
"It's...the same game..."
"In fact, the only thing I expect is 720p support with some bosses from the second game."
....ಠ_ಠ
@Battle
Thing is you can't just only base all this on Market Capitol.
They may have money, but also look at to where they focus it upon.
@Soldierone
Secure? Possibly. However there's people touting it as invincible to hacks just because they pay for it.
" Basically you hack it, tell them you hacked it, they fix it and give you props, and you move on."
You forgot to mention that some of the props entails you into netting a job with them.
You can never accept anything at face value when it comes to politics. You should know this by now Alpha :p
It's rare to even see politicians do what they say they're going to do, let alone actually plan in advance for the benefits of everyone.
Besides, they're dealing more so with the FBI and bigger government than representatives.
And I'll be honest with you, NC has bigger issues to deal with than this, not to say that I'...
