Yeah, games like DriveClub and Master Chief Collection were embarrassing and disgraceful, but they can't really go after games that are exclusive to certain consoles because fanboys go bananas with rage. It's pathetic, but that's N4G for you.
Well if you want to play it at 60fps then playing the game on PC is always an option :)
I think it says a lot that there's such a huge list of disappointing games to choose from this year. I mean really, when you stop and think about it, the vast majority of games that have been released were absolutely terrible. It would be much easier to put together a small list of games that ranged from being okay to decent.
If you liked PGR then check out GRID2. The PC version looks really nice when cranked up, and the arcade style and track designs remind me a lot of PGR. Not so great if you're looking for realism, but if you like going sideways really fast it's great fun. It could pass as being PGR5, in my opinion.
Is anyone surprised?
A SCE hack would be bad news and particularly embarrassing after the hack a few years ago, but I don't think it would cripple PlayStation. Most people would forget about it after a few months, same as last time.
It would be interesting to see any behind-the-scenes drama in emails, though. There's been some funny stuff from the leaked movie stuff emerging.
From Software made the game...
And really? Trying to downplay a Sony exclusive? I am continually astonished by just how crazed some fanboys on this site really are and you've set a new low with that one. Congratulations, ziggurcat.
Well game saves interfere with the flow of story sure, but from a gameplay perspective they can be a great design choice. It depends on how it's handled of course, but I vastly prefer games focus more on being games as opposed to wannabe films.
I'm not fussed about the animations, personally. My only reservation is what the final game looks and runs like, given how the Dark Souls 2 we got was absolutely nothing like the Dark Souls 2 that was advertised and shown in gameplay presentations. Because of that, I have absolutely no trust in From Software at all.
If Bloodborne ends up being the same as what's advertised, then I'm sure it will be great. Until the game actually launches and we get to see the fini...
Funnily enough UC3 also had a pretty big downgrade between what was shown at E3 and how the final game ended up looking.
At the time I defended it. I thought well gee, I really enjoyed UC2 a whole lot and I like Naughty Dog, so I'll give them a pass because hey, even if it's not what they advertised it's still gonna be a decent game, right?
Yeah, I'm done being an idiot and getting suckered by companies. Other people can be chumps and make exc...
Yeah, Naughty Dog were blabbering on about how great 60fps is and they prefaced the trailer with big text stating it was "in engine" and well, the comparison speaks for itself.
People can make excuses all they want, but when you look at cold hard fact and compare the images side by side? The difference is tremendous.
Also, funny how NeoGAF is brought up considering the writer at DualShockers, the guy who submitted this article, has had his website b...
I'm totally stoked for this lasagna.
Yeah and Nintendo will refuse to release Mario and Zelda games on the WiiU because it would hurt their 3DS sales.
Microsoft are fools for not taking advantage of the gigantic PC gaming market to boost sales of their key franchises. They're even bigger fools for not doing so to bolster their core business, which is Windows.
They're essentially crippling themselves to try and bolster the one weak link in their entire company. Xbox has done nothing but h...
The funny thing is notebook GPUs vastly outperform PS4 already. You can run the latest games like Far Cry 4 on ultra settings, 1440p and 60fps on a laptop GPU now.
And that's a game that's considered to be poorly optimized.
I view Microsoft withholding games from PC the same way I would view Nintendo refusing to release games on WiiU because they think it would compete with 3DS sales; complete and utter stupidity.
Of course, if Microsoft wants to miss out on all the sales they'd get by putting games out on their biggest platform (Windows) then by all means, they're welcome to do so. At the end of the day, it's their loss, and that's a tremendous amount of money they're throwi...
If DriveClub has been working fine for the past few weeks, then why are Sony still holding back the PS+ version? They said we couldn't have the PS+ version because there were still connectivity problems and that's been their reason for not letting us play it.
You say the game's been fine for weeks though so... is Sony lying to us? They're holding back the PS+ version which they promised us for no good reason? Wow, that's appalling. Certainly makes me lose ...
And? You seem so desperate to convince yourself that if he plays the game on PC he'll somehow be getting an inferior experience. It's bizarre, but also a little funny watching you squirm :)
Sounds about right.
I'm fairly confident that he's using a computer that was built sometime within the past five years or so :)
Ironic that the studio created to keep Halo alive are the ones killing it.
343 are terrible, incompetent developers who have no grasp on what people liked about Halo and want from future games. I think Phil Spencer would be best gutting the higher-ups at 343 like Bonnie Ross and co. and replacing them with people who know what they're doing.
As it stands, 343 is just killing Halo and someone from Microsoft needs to step in before it's ruined beyond re...
