Still waiting for the promised track creator to be patched into GT6... At this point, who knows what the hell is going on at Polyphony Digital? I wouldn't expect to see GT7 for another couple of years at the absolute minimum, either ways.

Agreed. It makes me sick to think of all the people who bought this game and expected to have fun right away. Entitled little brats need to earn the right first.

The amount of disagrees you're getting for that is hilarious but also sad. People are so brainwashed it's no wonder publishers and developers crap out unfinished games with absurd DLC, and I can't blame Sony for suddenly locking the multiplayer behind the PS+ paywall with PS4. They know their customers are dumb, so why not exploit them? It's easy money. If I worked at Sony I'd already be planning the first price increase, because I know people are dumb enough to justify it...

Yeah, I can't comment on the Halo collection because I don't have an Xbox, but Titanfall is amazing and easily the best first person shooter of the past few years.

It hits the two best checkpoints for me which are being innovative and being fun to play. I'm honestly confused how anyone could praise Battlefield 4 with a straight face to be honest, the game is terrible. The last good Battlefield game was Bad Company 2, BF3 & BF4 are utter garbage.

Why are you listing PlayStation exclusive IPs in an article about a possible reveal of Forza 6? I don't get it.

On topic, they'll probably reveal Forza 6 at E3 because since the original in 2005, they've put a game out every two years like clockwork. It looks like Forza Horizon games will be filling in the other years from now on as well, so it's essentially a yearly franchise?

Either ways, Forza 6 will definitely be coming this year. It'l...

Yeah, I wanna buy an Xbox One for all the exclusives and I think once Halo 5, Forza 6 and Quantum Break drop next holiday season, I'll pick one up along with some cheap copies of Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive :D

Yeah, as a PS4 owner it's sucked seeing great looking games such as Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros, Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive come out for other consoles and while the only exclusive offerings I've had available is trash like DriveClub. Hopefully Bloodborne and Uncharted 4 make up for it next year.

What the heck happened to the graphics? This looks awful compared to the original 12 minute gameplay reveal trailer. This is one game I was really hoping wouldn't get downgraded.

Yeah, I'd love to see one set in the 80's again, or maybe even the 70's? Just something fun and different. It will be disappointing if they go back to modern-day Liberty City again.

How dare you question the design decisions of The Naughty Gods? Typical Xbox troll.

4168d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yeah, but it would be nice to have a version of the Xbox One that did have backwards compatibility as an option. Kinda like how there was the Core/Premium/Elite/Arcade models of the Xbox 360 for example, with differing price points for differing features.

Sony did exactly that with the PS3 in fact, where they sold the more expensive 60GB version with backwards compatibility via hardware (a PS2 CPU inside) so people could spend the extra cash if they wanted it.

4168d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

If they released a model that was backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 I'd buy it instantly. Surely Microsoft realizes that there's a chunk of potential customers who would be more willing to buy an Xbox One if all their old games worked on it as well? Probably wishful thinking.

I agree. Sony had a spectacular first party lineup with the PS3 but so far it's been really disappointing on the PS4. The highlight of their exclusive lineup is a remaster of a PS3 game from 2013, which is pretty disappointing.

Looking at the future shows a mixed bag in my opinion. I'm confident that Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne will be great games, but I'm just as confident that The Order and Until Dawn will be terrible. I'm disappointed that Sony either shut d...

@LOGICWINS

lol, your comment is far too reasonable and levelheaded for an article like this.

Probably by hiring one of many network security firms who specialize in protecting against DDoS attacks? I'd go with Cloudflare myself, who successfully defended against the largest recorded DDoS attack in history earlier this year without any downtime :)

4177d ago 0 agree22 disagreeView comment

Yup, Sony had plenty of warning that a DDoS attack was going to occur and could have taken the steps to minimize or prevent outages. The PSN is also still down even though the attacks have stopped and XBL was up and running instantly. I'm not too pleased with Sony's incompetence here but they know people will make excuses for them so I can't blame them for not giving a crap. If my customers were this stupid I wouldn't waste the cash to protect against DDoS attacks either.

DDoS can be stopped, but people are convincing themselves that there's nothing Sony/Microsoft could have done so that they feel better about the services they pay to use being unavailable.

4179d ago 9 agree71 disagreeView comment

There's conflicting information everywhere. As it stands however Xbox Live has been back online all day but PSN remains down. I was under the impression that the attacks had stopped now so why is one network back up and fully functional while the other remains down? LizardSquad attacked both services so it doesn't make sense how one can still be affected, especially when the one still down supposedly had better security?

4180d ago 1 agree6 disagreeView comment

DDoS attacks are not impossible to stop like the uninformed would have you believe. There are companies that are more than capable of handling DDoS attacks, but Sony and Microsoft didn't want to spend the cash to protect the PSN and XBL from the attacks so their customers had to suffer, plain and simple.

Anyone making excuses for Sony and Microsoft is a fool, especially since LizardSquad even made it perfectly clear in advance that they planned to do this. The fact that P...

@St0

Steam has been hit by DDoS attacks in the past, but Valve is really good at dealing with them and manage to keep their services online and functional. They also do this for free.

How Sony and Microsoft are incapable of handling these attacks when they're charging subscription fees to "improve services" is beyond me.
