I would put them on par quality wise. Based on past games in both series, as I have yet to play Conviction.
To be honest it is still an unfair comparison because both games are from different genres and provide different gameplay experiences.
Wow people are surprised by this. Video game developers have been doing this for at least two console generations and probably even longer than that.
I like how he tries to place the blame on video games for auto-tune. If anything he should be putting the blame on the recording industry and their desire to create disposable music acts for the teenage market.
Not at all, I learned a few generations ago. That a score alone means nothing.
Out of that list, my girlfriend only liked option 5 and 1. The rest she hated. Though I admit a lot of the games I think she would like she ended up hating as well.
No thanks to any of the songs on that list. While I don't hate rap I don't go out of my way to listen to it.
Personally if I re-play through a violent game, I usually listen to musical groups like combichrist.
I doubt it, there will always be a push for more technically advanced gaming system. The console cycle may last longer, but eventually there will be a bottleneck (ie RAM) or a new visual/audio advancement. That will require development of a new console
I disagreed due to the fanboyish nature of your post "MS continues to show its stupidity..." blah blah blah "...MS is not only stupid, but greeedy".
Keep the blah blah blah part you will probably get less disagrees.
Guess I'm going to have to block my PS3 from the internet. While I haven't used linux too often. I would rather not lose that feature if it can be avoided.
Graphics look good, I'm more impressed with water physics and I hope they don't disappoint when the game finally comes out.
1. Better Storyline (more about the soldiers, less about their objectives)
2. Killing Rico within the first 30 seconds.
3. Moral Implications to your Actions (ie added innocents to the battlefield and giving the player the option to either go gun-crazy or be careful with their shots).
^ don't you love it when someone says stop being a fanboy then makes his own fanboyish statement.
I only have 1 reason why I prefer gaming on consoles than PC. I work on a PC for 8 to 10 hours a day. The last thing I want to do is get home and touch a PC.
I agree I think the game industry is a lot more healthier this generation then the previous generations.
No matter what type of gamer you are your tastes are covered.
Great news, I was hoping for another sequel
I guess if you agree with every Famitsu's review it is. I usually find their reviews laughable, but then again I'm not in their target audience.
For the last 3 years, my GOTY has been a multi-platform game. Since how much you enjoy a game is subjective that means "who has the best game library" is subjective as well.
I guess I must be the only one not interested in Final Fantasy VII remake. As I've already played the game once and don't really see the need to go through the game again.
I'd rather have Square work on a new IP.
I really liked Heavy Rain but I felt that the second-part of the game was a bit of a let down. It seemed that Quantic Dream just added a bunch of QTE action sequences together for the second part. Like the game switched from an noir-thriller to a Hollywood blockbuster.
It's still a great achievement and I hope that Quantic Dreams next game doesn't have to be as action-packed to get an audience.
it's simple it's a Mass Effect / Dragon Age crossover event, kind of like what Hanna Barbara did with the Flintstones and the Jetsons.
Of course by the end of this generation, we will have reviewers giving games scores of 130%+.
It's the nature of the internet, with so much information out there. Everything is labeled the greatest thing ever just so people pay attention.
