I hope you don't keep your anti-microsoft comments to a minimum in news articles. As in the past I've enjoyed reading some of your comments and would hate to have to put you on ignore.
I'm hoping "Heavy Rain" is announced for this holiday season. As the existing PS3 exclusives this Fall while not bad, don't really interest me.
Boring but "Wii Music" is going to sell like hot cakes this holiday season. It was smart for Nintendo to combine the popularity of it's Wii console and music based video games.
I hate to say it but Reggie might be right, back when Wii was first launched. We heard from countless analysts about how the Wii sale numbers will go south after a year and so far the Wii is still selling like hot cakes.
Though I am still glad I sold Wii last xmas and was able to make a small profit. As no games were announced that interest me.
I don't know about anyone else but I would rather Square go multi-platform and release titles for both PS3 and X360 and get the numbers they want. Instead of shifting focus to the Wii.
You must have not been a gamer for long then. People were really pissed off back when Square took Final Fantasy 7 from Nintendo to Sony but they eventually got over it.
This time it's just going multi-platform and so PS3 only players aren't losing anything.
Nice, besides "Fable 2" and "Too Human" most of the games I am looking forward to this year are all from third parties and after years of avoiding Tomb Raider games changed after the last installment. I can't believe the newest Tomb Raider is one of them.
I have a question for everyone that is still feeling negative towards FF coming to x360.
Would you rather have Square make the game multi-platform and sell a few million more copies of their game or have the game sell less and have the possibility of future FF games going to the Wii.
It's business, once something becomes success everyone tries to get in on the action and Sony is no different.
Interesting news, not really a big jRPG fan and I also own a x360 and PS3, so this announcement doesn't change much for me.
I'm far more interested in seeing gameplay videos for Fallout 3 and Fable 2.
yes because we all know that Final Fantasy started as PlayStation exclusive
Great Demo overall, the music, art direction are amazing. It's a shame that Silicon Knights started off using the Unreal Engine as it gives the game a generic look which hides the scale and beauty of the game levels.
While it took me a few minutes to get used to the controls, in about 5 minutes of use I was hooked.
The only downside I see to the game is the camera, but overall for me it's a must buy and might even be one of my favorite games this year.
84% is what I would have given the game. Overall a very fun experience and excellent visuals. Though I found most of the boss battles boring and some of the dialog just made me laugh (lighting in the storm), during scenes that were supposed to be serious.
Overall MGS1 is still my favorite of the series (even including the nes games)
"Why are there gods walking about? How come lush forests transform into futuristic cities in the blink of an eye? Why are mechanical dogs chasing me? But progressively things become clear, making it clear - from the outset - Silicon Knights have something fairly grandiose up their sleeve."
Reason enough for me to pick it up, game will probably score in the 70 to 80 range, yet for me it will probably be one of my games of the year (huge fan of western developed stoyline ...
You lost me and had me laughing with the "blatant acts of terrorism" bit.
Gabe Newell might be a douche but surprise a lot of people in the industry are.
When it comes down to it Valve is one of the premier developers in the world. I have yet to play a game that touched me as much the ending of Half Life Episode 2 did and I have been gaming for over 20 years.
Looks amazing and I will definitly be picking this game up (if the reviews are good or if I like the demo/rental).
Though I am hoping for a more in-depth plot then the first title. Guerrilla should take notes from Half-Life2 on how to develop an engaging and moving FPS experience.
For me a remake of FFVII, brings up one word "meh", I know for fans of jrpgs its a big deal. I've played FFVII once, and while it was good rpg. I really have no love for it's characters to want to play it again or any of it's many sequels.
Me I would rather have another Kotor or Baldur's Gate
Voice acting is a tad sub-par but the soundtrack sounds awesome and epic. I'm hoping the plot is epic as well, and going by past Silicon Knight games it should be.
Just hanging out waiting for Age of Conan to install, n4g is great in small doses
Sorry I don't see what the big deal is with Microsoft's press coverage this year. The whole MS just copies everyone is such lame argument.
Everyone copies everyone and Sony has done there fair share of copying this generation as well.
