I disagree since I'm more looking forward to the X360 exclusives this fall than the PS3 exclusives.
the title of the original article is a little misleading
Personally I liked the Too Human demo, thought it was pretty good and the storyline was compelling... but the game isn't for everyone.
I think the next big universal title to be released for X360 will be Fable 2 then followed by Banjo and Gears 2.
I agree with the article, but then I wasn't fan of the 2 final fantasy animated movies either.
Though if I am bored and have nothing else to watch I might try watching it when it hits video stores.
FF7 has always been my choice for most overhyped game
Well I always found the storyline to be excellent in the Halo series. Sure some of it is generic (aliens attacking earth), but underneath that there are a lot of unanswered questions about the precursors and humanity.
Who has best gaming line-up is subjective, it all depends on the games you like to play.
For example last year. I thought X360 had a better line-up but I have a friend that preferred the PS3 line-up and neither one of us was correct.
I know I'm going to get disagree with this. While the storytelling elements are superior in the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
I've always preferred the sneaking/gameplay elements in Splinter Cell franchise.
don't forget for every serious storytelling moment (ie all life on earth has been wiped out) you must follow that scene with a cute funny moment (ie my cat is doing something really cute)
meh I am passing on the series after trying the demo. I found the controls awful and while the graphic weren't bad. I'd rather wait for Silent Hill and Resident Evil 5.
If true it makes me proud that I end up disliking most games that come from Japan. There are a few exceptions though (ie ICO).
"But is looks like in the mean time MS is going to continue its flurry of badmouthing. And as always, the true gamers such as ourselves won't be fooled that this is anything more than MS's death rattle."
From what I say both companies did a good enough job of bad mouthing each other. Also the "true gamers" remark is pathetic, anyone who plays games is a gamer, it doesn't matter if that game is on the PC/X360/PS3 or Wii.
I never did play the psp killzone game (or own a psp).
Though from my one play though of Killzone (ps2) I found the storyline to be really lacking. While they did get some great voice actors for the roles I was disappointed in the end.
Edit for beavis4play : Well I did play the original Killzone a few years back and was really unimpressed with both the storyline and game. So that might be the reason for my negative thoughts towards the storytelling of series in gener...
I've always felt that female characters in MGS series were just eye candy (there were a few expections). Though I would have replaced Big Mama over Mei Ling.
I was half expecting Snake to ask his mother to cover up.
I have a different opinion of GTA4 as it was one of the only GTA games I cared enough of the storyline to beat the game and had a fun time doing it.
As for MGS4 I am apparently one of those rare people that disliked the game. I did end up beating it, though the game dialog/humor/happy bits and boring boss battles ruined the game experience for me.
EDIT: Lame argument choice, you disagree with me on how much I like a certain game and instead of arguing you just use t...
Story sounds pretty generic, hopefully the Killzone2 has something more storywise than Helghast are evil.
Hard to say at the moment, as 2008 isn't over yet. Though I preferring 2007 as I was having fond memories of Orange Box, Mass Effect, Bioshock and Uncharted.
So far besides GTA4 no title this year has come close to beating these titles.
personal choice for the win
I can really break my down my love of the X360 and the original Xbox to one thing. "Western developer support", Microsoft has it droves and of course I could also play a few of the games on the PC.But after spending 8 to 10 hours a day working on my PC the last thing I want to do is play games on it afterwards.
The great thing about an article like this. Is that you can easily tell who has read the entire article and who hasn't.
