Yeah theres no way they will ever get read of named and unique characters. At best you'll get a few skins tossed that are just throwback designs or ones that fall into what people want. But it's not going to matter in the long run because as soon as enough time passes they'll just start adding literal clown suits since that what sells more.

It's actually not too much to switch back to classes if they get enough feedback for it. Though it won't be for at least 3-6 months after launch, all they would need to do is replace the specialist gadget with a free gadget slot, lock the gadgets to specific class locks, and allow the player to swap models around as needed. Though there's still that issue of readability between character models this at least fixes a major issue.

They are released as add on content that you download once and are not locked to a timer. It also doesn't feature any seasonal themed gathering hub or anything that is on a timer. This is most likely some business thing stopping them.

They really need to put effort into their AI pathfinding, because many areas in these games are impossible to stealth because the AI just walks wherever it wants with no regard with whether or not you are trying to stealth it. There's also a lot of situational takedowns animations never made like sprinting takedowns, car takedowns (i.e jumping onto the roof of a car from another vehicle and taking out whoever is inside) and takedowns from the side or even front. It adds on the stealth asp...

If all it takes to condone something, is it existing in the game as it would in the local culture. Then there's a laundry list of things you have to go down too instead of just singling out chickens. What about the fact you can literally buy whale meat in Japan and whaling is still a culturally accepted thing? What about the fact there is no protection for Animals in mainland China whatsoever? They have this dish in China called Ying Yang fish that involves deep frying fish while it is st...

People freaked out when Sekiro was revealed to have the ressurection mechanic but it turned out to be a huge detriment to the players who used it often. A similar mechanic that punishes you without hurting your progression or combat stats the more you use it is a way to allow new players and vets to enjoy it.

I read the article beyond the headline and the whole thing is just complaining because Ubisoft didn't have the characters realize cockfighting is wrong, when you also wrote that cockfighting is legal in Cuba which why would anyone think it's wrong if it's ingrained in the culture? This comes off as another "Why isn't everyone following my culture as to not offend me???" type piece. Even more funny you just know the writer is a white man speaking on behalf of a race h...

I read the headline and almost started to celebrate out of joy but then I read the rest of it and snapped back to reality.

I assume this is the July 30th build Tom Henderson was saying if they say a few months.

Multiple places have stated that it was Facebook who required the alterations in order to do business with them. Very similar to how Sony had their own ports censored while everyone else went unscathed. Though it's unclear if this is some Oculus specific thing. I doubt they would ever bother making seperate versions of a PC game outside of releasing it on a different storefront.

It didn't age well because it follows a difficult control scheme, alongside the fact subsequent titles in the same series alleviated many of the problems. Crouch walking wasn't even a thing in mgs 1, just prone and stand. You also couldn't knock people out for more then 30 seconds, unlike the sequels which had tranqs. Also headshotting was not possible so stealth kills were limited to neck snapping only. Just a number of things that make going back to it tedious to deal with

Surprised MGS1 wasn't listed. Writing is still great alongside all the fluff. But the controls, aiming system, and stealth is just difficult to get used to after the subsequent games.

I never stated any of what you are accusing. You think I don't want them to try? I want them to do well, I'm just not particularly assuming whatever they turn out will absolutely be good as the rest of the comments on here seem to be doing.

I also noticed many comments seem to do this thing where they act as if they are speaking on behalf of the company rather then themselves, and will go for the opinion that they think best represents what the company/fanbase think...

@Apocalypse

So showing any concern is now trolling? Maybe some people are just not super positive about every single thing that comes out from their favorite company? Overly positive comments solve nothing just as much as overly negative, you are just dismissing skepticism because it targets Sony. I do not ignore signs just because the studio is trusted, did that with CDPR, Infinity ward, Biomutant devs, Bioware, Blizzard, machinegames etc.. I cast doubt on everything until...

@sinspirit

My complaint was directed specifically at Demon souls remake because they had completely changed enemy, boss, and NPC designs completely, added in architecture that made no sense on the location among many other needless changes. They were very good at achieving good graphical fidelity and keeping the game consistent beyond that, but they completely butchered the original designs and made them look like generic western artists attempt at a horror monster. If they...

You bring up Housemarque, Naughty dog, and Guerilla as comparison but all those companies were already capable of making great original titles for decades prior and received even more funding to do so. I'm not doubting their abilities, it's just strange the company has been around for 15 years and only their first game was an original title. There has to be more to it then just companies paying them to do it, because they were able to simultaneously develop multiple remasters at the s...

It's not about making original titles, it's just you have remember even Metroid had it's own established universe and had plenty of guidance by Nintendo to even make the thing. I just don't like how out of the gate the first thing they made when the studio was new was a flop and they quickly jumped back to making nothing but remakes and remasters. Regardless of whose on the team, the leadership is what steers the ship. There are talented people in CDPR who've also worked a...
