No we would have the inverse "Why Senuas saga: Hellblade 2 deserves an Xbox release"
@michiel
Have you seen anyone saying anything positive about her character? The presentation they've given so far on her requires no playtime to make an observation on. There is a full 4 minute non scripted game demo out that shows the basic loop of the game in fact. Why do you need to buy a game to make an observation on what's been released so far?
Them shutting their studio down after a year was already a giant red flag to everyone else.
It's still alive for some magical reason.
Any time you talk about politics, regardless of your intent, you're going to get a ton of disagrees, unless you know the exact words to say that appeals to both sides. Which is usually saying something like "I don't care" but articulated more.
Yes that is one aspect of course, but there are also people not even 25 writing for major studios and doing the exact same thing. There is a fundemental issue with trying to write for other cultures, and that is that you don't understand boundaries or whats considered offensive. For example, no white writer would ever feel comfortable writing one of the gang members from GTAV just because of the stereotype. However, GTAV benefitted from having actual former gang members working on the pro...
I know Tabata cared too much about FFXV in every release related to it. But he would just blow millions and millions on things nobody would bother with just to get it in peoples minds. So I assume the PC port being top notch was partly from his doing. People appreciate the enthusiasm, but his mindless spending killed the the rest of the DLC he had lined up and now he left the company.
That's assuming enough people even care about owning a URL to say they own a digital item. There's a group of fools looking to profit off this no doubt, but it is not the same MTX to convert someone to NFT. Someone who is into NFT for example is typically someone who is prone to signing up for credit cards they shouldn't have, or people who already participated in bitcoin trading prior. This isn't something anyone can just be grandfathered into like usual, so it's difficul...
That chick in Forspoken is another example from people who have no idea how to write outside of their culture. One of the reasons whites were used as the default for decades is because they never had to consult some organization like BIPOC or whoever in order to make the character relatable, because they knew what they were already. Even doing that today they just come off like some perfect Twitter interpretation, rather then something any demographic can relate to. They all want to make some...
NFTs will not be the future simply because you will never get publishers to agree to a decentralized market. Their application in traditional games or games from big studios makes no sense, because they are already and will always be centralized. There won't be some grand NFT cosmetic exchange where magically something from one game would have value in another. Developers and Publishers have 100% control of how they are used, and they will use them only to benefit themselves. You don'...
Besides the dead world, unlikable protag, the $70+ price tag, and the fact the game's core pillars by the directors own mouth were having strong female characters and down to earth vibes. The gameplay just looks like you circle enemy mobs and spam spells at a distance, which will get old super fast. Elemental combos as a system is not a new thing in gaming, nor is it new for open world games. I ask what is the big appeal with this game?
I see they are exploiting this type of behavior to help them gain play time. E.G they sit idle all day in game while letting the game run constantly, Ubisoft gets their statistics up, they get some worthless prize. This shouldn't be normalized under any circumstance, and history repeats itself if people keep dismissing it just like every bad thing that took over the industry prior.
Of course it was never complete I never said that. I said the pandemic has no effect on the design process from the get go. Being forced to work from home or whatever, is not going to cause whole systems to be designed around making money or having to log in every day for the weekly, or the fact the daily shop is even a thing. Not to mention the complete 180 direction from interviews that were made at the peak of the pandemic. The pandemic cannot be used as an excuse when your foundation is g...
Not the point. When you start allowing NFT trade, you start attracting people who only come to make money like a gold seller in an MMO. Except the entire game is now designed around that fact. AAA gaming shouldn't allow this type of commerce to occur, but this is Ubisoft who has proven time and time again to disregard sense for profit.
The pandemic isn't going to magically dissolve 5 years of bad work in a year. You have no evidence to suggest it other then conjecture. Designs don't magically get altered to be worse just because of remote work.
Its got nothing to do with the pandemic. Look at the 5 years of dev time they had without the pandemic. They had terrible leadership, failing designs, mismanagement, and constant reliance on contract workers instead of people who looked at the project as a passion instead of another job.
They've done this exclusivity thing with the KH remasters, Neo TWEWY, Strangers paradise, and this. TWEWY in particular has no brand value because SE never bothered to push until a couple years ago. So it's no wonder why it under performed. It's even more puzzling because they never ported TWEWY to PC, then threw the sequel on EGS despite that. Nobody will bite the bullet on Neo TWEWY because A. TWEWY was never pushed for the last 14 years until just recently. B. Nobody on PC has ...
Tim himself claimed games would be cheaper right after the store launched. He also claimed there would be no bad games as well due to his "curation."
https://imgur.com/a/JITZbzm
He also claimed many other things that got proven the opposite stance in the courtroom. Like the fact they were fighting for the "little guy" or how they expected to gain 50% market share if Valve didn't react...
If the exclusivity didn't scare you off, the price sure will. You think $70 is bad, try $100 in canada, or how about it still being 80 euro in countries where thats a weeks worth of wages. No regional pricing sure benefits people right?
They made an abortion called bleeding edge I'm glad to see people erased from their minds as well.
